She don't look like any kind of dancer to me Drew. Those are not dancers legs. They probably spend more time inverted than the right way up.

Welding is done for this part, cant wait to get it home to clean and dress each weld for primer,

Some of the problems with welding this stuff is it is a catch 22, Iwant good metal, but after welding I dont want any metal exposed ,so we used weld thru primer, and por 15 on the metal parts

, the problem is this contaminates the welds,so this has to be removed prior to welding,

so now i have to get as much por 15 and metal etch primer on the areas that were welded,

so need less to say i have some work to do, i will for instance get eastwoods inner frame 360 degree sprayer

Ok got the K frame on,but the one thing I need is some new bolts to bolt the lower ball joint to the spindle , I am converting this car from front drum to disk and the factory lock bolts are to old and I can only get one to tighten and rest wont go more than an inch with out stopping even with an impact wrench(see pic),so after looking on my chally, I noticed that it has bolts with cotter pins in stead of the oval shaped lock nuts so I will have to find those, since nobody makes new bolts and nuts

If anyone is doing this conversion in the future(Wayne) , this is why it would be easier to use the drum spindles since they have kits for both drum and disc spindles :s004:

Yes I remember those bolts.

I used to have a spare set but I seem to remember giving them to someone already. I will double check later.

Man those bolts are a pain to remove , it took one guy to hold the dam thing and i ran the impact, each bolt took like 10 minutes to remove and now they wont even go back on :s012:

oh I know these were some old units that had been sitting in the dirt, I was able to move them ,but an impact wrench was so much faster at 10 mins. a bolt,by hand I dont think I would be done yet :s005: AND MY BACK :s005: :s005: :s005:

Ok Back to it just an up date, got the car over to my buddie,Doug, I have his fake snake, and a dog dish(I actually drove an 84 vette) in my corral,

and Doug is out of work(he helped with the frame/body welding on the front) so he has alot of time on his hands and has offered his services at his home ,

so we swapped out cars and the rusty fish now resides in his corral, and this what he did in 2 days.......and there is way more to come :x

I figure I would give you all something to look at

LOL I am on my way to the paint store to replenish those very items Ed

good stuff, very good stuff especially that por 15.......just dont get on places you dont want ,cause it wont come off,I even got some on my hands and it took a week to get it off

Yea these cars are built pretty strong,DOUG the guy that is doing alot of the work for me, has done body and frame repair for a living on numerous Nagasaki nut buckets and ,he said the way these cars are built they are much stronger than these imports, but we all know that they are very rigid cars and in a crash they are not as safe as new cars......oh well  safe enough for us :D
