Have you northerners really got more snow coming? I was hoping to get up to Bamburgh or the Lakes on me new bike this weekend or next, looks like I might have to wait a bit. Barst

Snow on the hills only probably. But further North of newcastle it might get to lower levels this week. Not sure what the weekend will be like yet.

Winter still has a hold in England it seems. Hopefully you will be riding your new bike soon. Bye the way, what model scooter?

We are (probably) getting the last rain of the season here. Maybe some white stuff down at 2500 ft. Storms come in from the Gulf of Alaska occasionally and sometimes "snow happens".

It was very spring like last week Jon. Winter just suddenly decided to come back this week for one more visit.

Nice day here today though.

Adrian it looks like the snow is staying in Scotland and only above 200 meters. You will probably be OK for the weekend. See what the forecast is tonight.

Still quite bright here in Newcastle but starting just 100 miles to the North it gets more like this;

Well that is never going to happen in Scotland I can assure you.

I am hoping it will be nice here in the north of england next week though. I am having the week off to get a load of spring cleaning done including the windows and gutters.

A mate of mine sends stuff to Scotland on a courier and reckons the country will be at a standstill for days. Considering I was on a Cornish beach 2 weeks ago in a t-shirt and had wall to wall sunshine the British weather seems all the more mental :!:
The new bike is that BMW superbike that is in that link I seem unable to make work

Yep, thats the one Dave  What I doin' wrong? I go onto YouTube, find the address in the little box, right click it and click on copy, then go to our message box and click paste :?

You need to highlight and copy the address in the address bar at the very top of the page. The one that starts with http://

Highlight that bit and press the ctrl and letter C keys at the same time. That is how you "copy".
Then click in the message box you are typing in and press Ctrl and the V key together. That is how you "Paste".

Well the weather has not been great up here this week. Probably because I am on holiday this week.

While today most of the country was bathed in sunshine we only got a teasing glimpse of it now and again through the low cloud.

We still managed a grand afternoon out though. Lunch in Craster. A walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Then a cream tea and walk in the grounds of Cragside House.

Been out again today. Walked bloody miles and miles. My feet are killing me!

This time we walked along what was an old railway network and industrial area during Victorian times. Just across the river to the south of Newcastle.

It was a lot warmer today with hazy sunshine. I was sweating with the heat!
