I test drove a 72 hemi 6 aussie charger when I first got my my licience. It was real clean and only $3500 but my dad wouldn't let me buy it because he reckoned I wouldn't afford the fuel bill. I ended up with a VL holden commodore instead.
I hope to restore a aussie charger after my challenger is finished.

Hey Drew,

In most Australian states if the car is over 20years old (I think it is 20 or might be 25years?) it can be registered as a classic in which case no major mods are required. This includes been able to leave it as LHD and use it on the roads without any restrictions.
I notice now most people now seem to be leaving their imported cars LHD where as 15years ago lots were getting converted.

Last year we talked about a australian movie in a thread. It's called "Love the beast"... I still want to see that one, but then there was no plannings on export for that movie... Have you seen that redgum78? Is it possible to get that movie in some way?

Hey Jimiboy, I am yet to see it myself but all reports say it is good. I might hire it his weekend. If you have trouble getting it on Amazon post again and we should be able to work something out.

This may have been the case some years back Dave but it is not required now. This is from Vicroads website, I think most other states in australia are simular.
The Standards for Registration specify that the steering wheel of a vehicle must not be located to the left of the centre line of the vehicle.
However, vehicles over 30 years old with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of less than 4.5 tonnes are exempt from this requirement. These vehicles must still comply with the Standards for Registration applicable at their date of manufacture and be fitted with headlights which are suitable for a right hand drive vehicle (i.e. dip to the left).

yea it is a cool movie ive got a copy i wonder if he'll get it straightened out & going again might cost him a few bucks but he should be able to afford it

Finally found a web contact for the wrapping paper people. On UK e-bay and they are called pjs163. I had a look at their shop earlier and they have used paper they did for us with our dogs on
