Nothing better if you have been spending a morning working on your car. If you eat it with your fingers it even cleans the oil and dirt off for you.

Yeah your right mate it cleans oil of good, especially the fish skin. We ask our chippy to do us the fish fried bare, so no batter, its fantastic. Mind you the chips really do taste like they're 150 years old
Still waiting on your switch mate, must chase it up.

I fondly remember the fish n chips that I had while I was statoned in England (71-73). What we now get in the states from Long John Silvers or Captian D's will never be as good as what I had back then. They were bought from shops in the small villages served wraped in news paper. Nothing better.

I tell you what. If you have watched that video of them cutting and frying the fish.

If you got served a fish that small where I live you wouldn't be very happy.
The shops here sell fish twice that size at least. If the owner of my local chippy serves me herself she always gives me an extra half fish as well. I think she likes me.

Could be the bulls-eye on your forehead there Dave. :s004:

It's been a while since having some good fish & chips. I don't think we even have a shoppe in our town anymore. :| It's now Fish Taco's and plenty of other south of the border cuisine. My gut can't handle that spicy stuff anymore though. :rage:

Who's going to cave in first and do the 'battered sausage' joke? :s024:
