Isn't that how they did it back in the day? I thought I remembered seeing a pic of an orange 71 Chally that was a racecar all its life. It was all tubbed out and used leaves I think.

Yeah normally you would expect a car like that to be "back halved" with coil overs wouldn't you. Looks silly like that.

holy cow,
that car even has the rare S.E. window in the rear which was very rare for the 1971 challys. forgot what that option was called for the 71 cars but thats a fat ass with a lot of blind spots

I have seen "Pro Street" custom cars in the '80s that had only about 10 inches between the rear tyres.

Yeah the Pro Street movement could get pretty radical. I remember at one of the Street Machine National where one of the PS cars was showing off his spare biller axles in a shoebox
