I'm looking for paint to paint my dirt sprint car.I'm looking for an orange paint shade that was used on engines-I believe it is hemi RACE orange but I'm not for sure.I know it's a different shade than regular hemi orange.I knew you mopar guys would know-Thank's.

I'm not a paint expert. I do know that the Race Hemi Orange is a different shade of Orange than the Street Hemi colour. It's much brighter and has a redder pigment to it. When you ask for the paint from your supplier you should specify "RACE" to them or else they will probably sell you the Street colour. Do you have any pics of your sprinter? Is it MoPar powered? They rock! Anything with 950 H.P. that weighs a little over 1000 lbs. is cool!

Street hemi orange is redder than the original hemi orange used of the earlier 426 hemi's.

There are three Hemi oranges. Two of them are as just described and are both engine paints.

The body colour is different again. For a start is is slightly metallic. This was the High Impact colour that many 1970s Mopars were painted.
