Yes, street racing is still quite popular these days. We have a long straight road in my rural area and the tire marks at the starting area are very evident. I am sure the police know about it too as I saw a CHP hiding out in a vineyard one evening.

Occasionally there are broken down ricers on the side of the road. I once saw a car that had caught fire too. (or torched on purpose).

Near town there is a new bridge over the Salinas river. The bright white concrete has burnout marks all over it. Along with a few nicks on the side barriers. :lol:

Jon is it true the Police can 'confiscate' your car and make you watch it being crushed if caught street racing in California? :shock: :lol:

they take them off you over here to eddie not so severe though they can only hold themm for a month they call them anti hoon laws & they are pushing for the right to crush

Not sure about the crushing part but some counties are trying everything. It is really out of hand I guess.

Here is a dated article about a bill that was to be signed into law again. I don't know how it turned out though. I think it is targeted at the ricers mainly but to have your car confiscated for chirping the tires is ridiculous.

Man, the govt. is really 'crackin down' on violations and giving the fuzz to much power! :?
