I did buy it without looking which I always swore I would never do. Since it was in California I couldnt get out there. No doubt I am taking a big risk but I went with my gut. Hope I dont regret it but I will see today. My fingers are crossed.

I have mixed feelings about the car. The seller was clearly not very honest. there was no air filter, good thing car wasnt being driven.Brakes go to floor yet i cannot find any leaks. Master is full, must be air.The drivers side door has a gap of about 1/4 only on the lower outside corner. Lots of loose trim with missing screws interior and exterior. Paint is mostlyokay needs wet sand and buff. Hopefully there is enough clear. There is work to be done, I think it has potential with a lot of garage time in my future. Gas and temp gauge dont seem to work. Dome light doesnt seem to work. Lots of overspray in engine compartment(lots of detailing in my future). the upside is the numbers definitely match and it is a true A66 car. The engine runs quite well but has Edelbrock intake and carb. I will post some picture when nausea subsides.
The tag codes are as follows.
Door tag Build date-11-1969
VIN:JH23HOE120146
Fender tag
V1X V9X 26 END
J45 M21 N41 N42 M(N?)95 R22
V1X A66 B51 C16 055 G33
FY1 H6X9 000 B17 037962
E55 D21 JH23 HOE 120146
Could be mistakes, the tag had paint and was difficult to read in spots
any help decoding would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie

Thanks Darryl,
Does anyone know if when there is a bumble Bee strip and it says may be deleted, does that mean the defintiely has it. I am asking because I would like to take it off but not if it is indicating that the car is supposed to have it. I would think if the code is on the tag that it is on the car. Am I correct in that assumption? Thanks for your help

intake and carb question

Thanks for the coding info, you guys are better than Wikipedia.
I want to put the engine back to original. My book says the carb should be Carter AVS/manual 4936S. I found on ebay a Carter AVS 4933S which my book says is for a 340 Cuda. Does anyone know if there is any difference or can I use it? Does anyone know what intake I need or have the correct intake (and carb)for sale? Thanks.
