The next 10-15 days look like we are getting rain for at least 85% of those days!!I may be looking to high tail it outta here in my R/T!!! BOB do you have any room in your garage? The shop at school is 2 miles from my home also in the 'flood area" so it's no go there! Maybe the Dodge dealer will let me keep it there! He is on higher ground than I.(Literally not figuratively)

Eddie, I'll keep your R/T and your trucks for you. I may even let you drive them every once in a while

BTW, it's raining here again. The south half of my town was under water last week. I live on a hill on the north side of town over a hundred feet above the river and if my house ever goes under water, you'll see an ark alongside the house

Lets see, if I can make it to Barc's place in 3 hours on a 4.5 hr. drive, Barry Newman would be proud!! No Ark here Barc!

This is 150 meters from my garage in 2 days of rain! Let alone 10 days!

Me too Jimi!!I would rather have snow than all this rain. At least the snow would melt gradually and the water would recede eventually. Seriously, it will have to have a lot more rain before my place floods. I live approx. 3-5 ft. above that water level. But it's getting pretty close!

Hello eddie, Yes I would make room in my garage. There is even an an empty apartment above so you could stay with your beloved baby.

Hey Thanks Bob! I may have to take you up on that! So far the forecast has been changed to 3 days of light rain instead of 10 days. I think I'll be OK but greatly appreciate the offer. I wouldnt need to stay Bob, the R/T would have a new Daddy for awhile!

I don't Even want to here about it. Why do you think Washington and Oregon are so darned GREEN. It's called Mr. 100 to 250 inche's a year, Man. And today, we got all kind's of snow. Even down in Clark County, were I work. Had to chain the Lift Truck, up today. And, it is March, 28th, isn't it? I think all this cold, snowy weather, has something to do with Global Warming. Yesterday, the seven day forcast, didn't look so good. Just glad the garage doesn't leak, or cave in.

I hear ya Pat! The 'thing' aboot Indiana/Illinois is the flat corn fields either sand based as here, or clay based as in Illinois, sometimes the water 'runs off' pretty quickly but other times it just sits. Theres no where for the water to run off/drain to. Plus the Wabash river,(A branch of the mighty mississippi), is very close by! They changed the forecast again, no rain until Tue. then rain for the next 7 days straight! We'll see!

England has been lovely this weekend in fact I even got burnt by the sun today.Forecast for Monday excellent and I got the day off and I'm gonna tear around the roads on my bike and get my knee down.

Thanks Adrian, nana skin, Pat I dont think they are. Last year England had some of it's worse flooding in years! It rained almost 1 1/2" last night and another 1" today then no more for a week or so. In a week or so I will go to the woods and find many peckerheads, Blacks&Greys, yellow Morels ect.. the English dudes call em Truffles! They sell for 25$ a pound or 60$ a kilogram approx. A few years ago I found over 50 lbs.. I dont eat them. I think they are nasty, fun to find though.

English dudes all them mushrooms and toadstools mate. Truffels are a thing that grows underground.

My God! Unbelievable! (The flood at Bocastle, not Dave rubbing me with oven mitts) I may have to send a lb. or two to Dublin & Tyne&Wear! Morels are a fungus. Are truffles the same?

I think a truffle is a type of tuber that grows underground. Not sure if it is a fungus or not? Probably is though. Found near the roots of trees. Very expensive. Weight for weight they are more expensive than gold I think?

Come in black or white versions. Some people use dogs or even tame pigs to find them.

Yes, Ive seen that done in the UK on T.V. where they used small dogs to hunt them for Gourmet Chefs. You're right about them being very expensive! Some cuisine uses them and must be quite expensive. Some things I wont eat, are Crusteceans, Fungi, anything with Lard.

Finally a dry spell. No rain in a couple of days and only light rain forecast for the next 3 or so. I had the golden opportunity to get the R/T out today. I took advantage of it! Thanks again Bob! I owe you another ride. This time you can drive!

Yeeaah! I am glad for you Ed! And a bit jealous of course! There is still mud and snow and ice on our roads.. I think i have to wait two, three weeks more or so... (eager)

I hope you get your 'fix' soon Jimi! I only had the opportunity to drive it for 3-5 miles then back home. Some of the roads are still washed out but passable around here. Of course the Challenger only sees dry pavement, I'm too lazy to wax the undercarriage again. I cant wait to get it out on the highways around my home where you can get it up to speed,120-130 then back down. Not today though but it was enough to satisfy me for a couple of minutes.

Glad to see that you got some quality time with your six pak. Anytime your Challenger needs a home, just gotta leave the keys in case I might have to move her around the shop. We do not play soccer in Terre haute this season so i will just have to drive out to a local car show. let me know about any that you might attend.

If I drive yours, Do I have to be responsible for excessive rear tire wear?

Thanks Bob&Danny! And you dont have to worry about tire wear. I dont,lol. Danny, the Cigars are chewed along with my snuff, I never light em. just like Dandy Dick Landy! I have my original steering wheel, Pistol Grip, Dash. I wear the gloves to prevent oils and acids from my hands on those items,(a real wuss) . Heres an upcoming small show my 'classmates' are sposoring for the local high school. Last year it rained all day! If it's a clear forecast I will be there with the R/T.
