I just started thinking about (and getting a bit jealous)how many of you guys that have the season to ride your cars without the snow in this time of year..?
I've read Automotive Engineer from Finland getting himself a cruisin a while ago, and patricks topic yesterday and got a bit crazy, starving for summertimes to come!... I think i must take the "Old Black" for a winter spin some of the days ahead...

Patience Jimi. Spring is near. And Summer time is not far off. If you can't wait, those water spot's on that Beautiful Black Chally will wipe off. Even easier than getting the rubber off those rear quarter's.

Always look forward to March and the clocks going forward. Nice light nights coming, and the chance to cruise out to a little pub somewhere with a nice car park and people sitting outside to cover in tyre smoke as you leave!!!!!

You guys always is funny!
I never know from year to another where i am gonna store my car, cause of my need to garage my everyday car, so it is hard for me to work at it during winter time, this winter i have it in a friend of mines garage (without any space or heat up) I bet if i get a house soon ahead, i will have better patience. Then i could work on it, when i feel, or just sit an dream: "emptydrive" as we say in the northern sweden (no gas or no running engine, just sitting in the car, dreaming and thinking a bit, never mind, haha!) I therfore have thought about starting to write stuff to remember, cause i keep forgetting what i have done already or what's need to bee done... Anyway, last year i wrote down the date for first spin, It was Marsch the 12:th (a bit early) It was bare ground on the streets, and about those 50Fahrenheit almost... It was 44,6 Fahrenheit (10C) So i bet you all have right... Maybe i just leave it for only a couple of weeks ahead... or maybe the the water spots is nothing compared to the joy of a ride!(?)

Jimi: We had 6" of snow the other day plus 1" of solid ice. Had to take the diesel 4x4 out my other truck is down for repairs,(Throttle cable broke,Lokar too) Had to order a custom made piece form Imperial Services. 4-6 weeks delivery time! Cmon warm weather, I am dying for that 4speed Pistol Grip!

...I had wanted a 69 Judge since I saw the first one in 1969...only took me 39 years to get one ...I had a new 68 GTO conv and a Judge pulled up next to me at the light, the light turned green and he was gone before I even figured out what he was driving...

...this one is all correct, matching numbers etc etc...exactly what I was looking for....purchased it about a month ago...I have a few GM products, but I have found the two keys to my collection in the last 4 months, the 69 Judge and a 69 Hurst Olds I bought in Sept...it is a 40K mile non restored car....no good pix yet, just delivery I didn't think it would photograph well in the snow, might get lost

I think it from Rowan&Martins Laugh In? from the 60's with a young "pert" Goldie Hawn giggling as it was 'sang' and then they showed that car in a commercial...then the memory fades...

I can't get use to the rounded leading edge on the front fenders. Just doesn't look as sleek as a Challenger IMO.

Very nice Judge and Hurst Old's. I love those car's too. My buddy john has a 68 G.T.O convertable. 400, TRI- Power, Auto, 355 rear. I had his his car for lunch. He's still arguing with me that I don't have 3.23's in my 340 Challinger.

...there will NEVER be another time like the late sixties, the cars were hot, the music was hot and the girls were younger

...our town had a major cruise strip that lasted for decades, people came from other towns and from outta state, nothing like it anywhere else I ever saw...there were AAR Cudas on the street, T/A Challengers, a couple of Superbirds and Daytonas plus tons of other Ebody and Bbodys (this was a Chrysler town)...numerous HEMI Cars and Six Pack "Lift Off Hood" cars......GTOs were EVERYWHERE,(even a Judge) along with, Chevelles, a ZL1 Camaro, a Nickey Chevelle etc etc.....there were 3 69 Hurst olds in town, a BOSS 429 and numerous other Mach 1 and Boss Mustangs....it was like "American Graffiti" every weekend...it just ended a few years ago, victim of repairs to the road that had it torn up for 2 years....cruising just never came back....I spent my time as a kid cruising in a 68 GTO conv and a 69 Chevelle conv....thought I was "KING OF THE STREET".....great times for sure, glad I was around then, but it sux gettin old

...pictured, me and my first new car, 68 GTO, 400 4spd...cruised it to death.....my second new car, 69 Chevelle 396/375 4spd....neither car survived the sixties....the GTO was torn in half by the next owner, and the Chevelle was spotted by a friend of mine in the stax of crushed cars at a local junk yard in 1971, no idea what happen to put it there

Wow, 2 hot convertibles packing lots of ponies! Thanks for posting the pics and the cool stories! Bet those cars were a lot of fun. Sad to see em go but I hear ya Daytona. Back then they were just cars that we used for transportation but having fun was the key. Todays cars dont have the same 'quirks' or a "personality" that those rides of ours had. Back then I never forgot where my car is parked, but with a modern car it happens all the time! My Dad just bought a 2004 Buick LeSabre,( Charcoal Grey), I lost it the other day at the Wal Mart! There were 4-5 old man cars that looked the same! When I serviced my mothers new Toyota Camry,(beige), I lost it too! Took me almost a 1/2 hour to find it at the local bar!

That sounds like a long time for delivery, don't the shops have pieces like that on stock? How typichal, it is now you need it the most! When you get it you would use the Chally most often anyway, huh?

I did go to the garage yesterday and start him up, but i satisfied with the roaarr from the engine, i still let him be in the garage

I had my 28Th birtday partie this last friday, and had no spare time, (or maybe it was the whiskey..) but if i take him for a ride i will try to remember the cam and post some winterpics..

I have loved beeing around in the sixtees i think! (For the car's... and the strips...) I have one absolute top favourite movie, and that is American Graffiti for sure I can believe you guys have great memories from those years...
