Drag racers ?

Postby Dave » 25 Feb 2008 20:38

Hi all.
Just re-joined after a long time away, I'm casually looking for some parts for the resto on my '74 and wondered if there was any Drag enthusiasts who frequent the site?

I have but dont do it anymore. I looked like I was wearing a sail from the CuttySark! Steve Case is a drag enthusiast that frequents from time too time. He's the UK gentleman that has a plum Crazy 70 with 383 and 2- 4's, hauls it in his Ram Truck too!. 72Orange is also a racer I think.

Hi Dave.
How are ya? keepin well I hope.

Drag Racing? the line on my head from the nicker elastic gives it away.

I know Hans, has he put the 4 speed back in? Steve Case I know the car, haven't seen it in the tin so to speak, 72 orange? sorry, I'm not sure I know.

Air fuel Eddie, I been reading your posts with interest as I'm wonderin weather to go Turbo's or centrifugal 'charger. Probably go blower and blow thru carb but rear mount turbos and EFI are a possibility. This is a while off in the future btw, as I'm still getting a handle on the 572  .

Unfortunately those aren't on my calendar, I have a finite budget and have to pick and chose which ones I do.
However, I'm hoping to meet Hans at the Euro Finals in Sept. Steve, don't ya fancy Gary's picnic in June? It's usually a laid back affair and its part of that new class thats being run at 3 tracks.
