I reckon Eddies gonna top that with his project!!

Would I be right in saying these were the first engines that had nitrous used on them for performance gains in WW2?

Any history buffs know different?

Potter AKA "The Michigan Madman" circa 1962 Mr. Potter in a bout of sanity/insanity decided to one up his friend and comrade Art Arfons by stuffing an Allison 12 cylinder Aircraft engine in a 1962 Dodge Dart and ran 200 MPH in the 1/4 I believe. 46 years ago! He also placed a SB Chevy V-8 in a small framed motorcycle, bring the engine up to speed then dump the kickstand with his leg and hang on. No Joke! As far as the NOX injection and water injection yes Tim is correct, WWII I think, it was the Germans? My project is going to be radically different yet simple Wayne. It will be true street,(run on any fuel possible, alcohol,gas, gasahol) Oh, and make insane power, get great fuel economy, get chicks whenever you want, make world peace, ect..

The Germans did use water injection in WWII in fighter aircraft. Later versions of the water-cooled Daimler inverted V12-powered Me 109 had water injection for emergency power. I'm not sure about the FW 190 as most of them had BMW radial engines, but the FW190D had an inverted V-12 Junkers power plant and probably had the water injection as well.
