I didn't think he would have an easy job of it.

Not knowing who Mayweather was (I don't keep up with boxing) I watched several of his fights on YouTube last week and he is a very skilled, technical and calculating, boxer. His "jabs" are not wasted either. He was always going to be a very tough nut to crack.
The "Hitman" was not up to the job on the night. Completely outclassed.

I stayed up to watch the fight last night and I have to say firtstly it was a peach of a shot from the yank but I did have concerns....

I felt that Hatton was not allowed to pressure the yank because the ref kept on time after time pullling them apart this was basically throwing the fight for Hatton because this is a big part of his game...

...also the ref was wrong to dock Hatton for throwing a punch that barely landed on the yanks head and what makes it ever worse was the fact that the yank was not docked a point for awful use of the forearm and elbow...whats good for one should have been good for the other...anyway I felt that at this point Hatton was forced to chase the fight putting himself at risk and also he was running out of steam and couldnt not apply the same pressure like in the first couple of rounds...this was right up the yanks street and he was fast on his feet and very accurate with the jab...

From then on he was picking off Hatton as he came forward Hatton had no choice to come forward because he was down on points thanks to the ref docking him a round..

The end came when Hatton rushed forward and was caught with a peach of a counter left hook which landed flush on Hattons upper jaw...It was over soon after...

My parting concern was the set up of the officials...now I know that The Nevada state commission set up the fight but these are world titles and I dont see why all three judges and the ref had to be americans..

I mean what about a south american or mexican ref eh?

Think about the implications of Hatton winning this fight..

Hatton Champion
Calzage Champion
Khan possible future Champion
Haye possible future Champion
Enzo possible Champion
Witter Champion

what do these have in common all from the UK- what does that mean- it means las vega and america loses alot of revenue and boxing clout because contenders would have to go the the UK for a title shot...politics I hate it..

To end it the ref messed up Hattons game plan- he is a fighter and wasnt allowed to fight on the inside- he ran out of gas..

Mayweather the boxer was given an easy ride by the ref and picked Hatton off later in the fight forcing Hatton to chase the fight resulting in him making mistakes.

Well done to the yank it went your way with a little help

Hard luck Ricky your done your country proud

just my views- An IrishMan.

You always have to take the fight to the champion on his own turf. Every contender worthy of being a champion has to be able to do that.

He was just not good enough to win. Simple as that.
