Danny have you or Christer ever heard of a man by the name of Steven Juliano? He purportedly has THE largest collection of CPD dealership promo items from the MoPar muscle car era 1969-1971 in the world. There was a magazine article on him a year or two ago. He's also the man that owns the Special Concept cars including the Diamante Challenger with the 426 Hemi.

Yup, I have read that article. I must admit that his collection is a bit more complete than mine

All your collections are nice.
I just dont have the space for those items. Some are, I assume, 'delicate' and with my dogs it would be a disaster. Glad I have a nice garage for my Challenger, the pooches are not allowed in there!

Yeah, it's pretty neat! The one thing you have to give MoPar credit for and thats the fact that Chryslers comittment to the youth market,(Muscle Cars), bordered on "fanatical", I mean the 383-4v/440-4v& 440 SixPack, 426 Hemi, 340, cars were almost dragstrip ready out of the box, they also had decent body styles with the B bodies of 66-70 and E- all years, then the Hi-Impact colours. Your car has it all!

hey christer nice game.
i had a hard time finding a die cast that was close or exact to my car lately.i went to a car show the other week and found a 1970 challenger rt with 440 six pack that was very close to what my car is,all though my car is an S.E. with the shaker hood,i know i wont find that combo in my colour.i settled for this highway 61 1:18 scale in my colour.kinda of neat to have this as it shows what my car really was like from the factory with the power buldge hood with black paint.scored it for only $55 bucks Canadien.

Yeah, it sold for $129. I did not feel that I had the needed extra money at that point.

You -70 & -71 guys can be happy that it is very easy to find die cast models, and steel, plastic models what so ever, compared to us guys with -72, 73 and -74... It is very hard to find correct models...
But Roland did help me find a plastic model kit of an rallye -73 on e-bay
(thanks again Roland) It is very rare to find i tell you.. And i don't lie when i say impossible, at least here in Sweden...
I havent build it yet.. Maybe i post a pic when i do..
(still split if i will mount a compressor thrue the hood or not, i think not)

There are two versions of the VP car, the clean version and the dirty version. I have both. Unfortunately, the car has a Hemi insteda of a 440. The clean version is being rereleased.

Fal308,nice collection you have there.it seems you follow all the models of mopar so i will ask you--what 1970 challenger R/T's in banana yellow or lemon twist models did all the makers have as i would like to put together a collection of this color as that is the color of my car.any help would be much appreciated. i have only the highway 61 model so far.

I get some of my diecast from Supercars website. This is their Challenger listing right now (including their archive)
http://www.supercar1.com/catalog/index. ... cription=1 There are several pages of Challengers, and as this includes their archive, some are sold out so you may have to find another dealer.
Another dealer, Kevin's Hobbies, has a pretty good selection of cars also. Here is his Challenger listings
http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/bro ... %2A&c2=%2A
I don't have your Challenger as of yet. I've got somewhere around 15 or so Challengers right now and am looking to add one or two more.
Supercars (what yours is, I believe) usually details out a regular production diecast. They are rather nice. The newer molds are more authentic than the older molds. The older molds have dogleg hinges, unrealistic hood hinging, auto transmission underneath whether car was stick or auto etc. The newer molds are better in those details.
I think that's the only one of your car right now but I'll keep an eye out for any others.
edited to add that Highway 61 is bringing out a '70 R/T in Sunfire (?) Yellow

Another option would be to have a car custom made. There are people who customize diecast cars. I belong to a forum for diecast
www.diecastpub.com that has a couple of guys who customize.

thank you Fal308 for the links and info.after reviewing everything you sent me i am very happy i bought the highway61 model.
i saw that sunfire yellow model-kinda biege in color and i did not want it as it does not come close to banana or lemon twist color.
yes it would be real neat to by a car with the shaker hood in another color and then have it custom painted to match my car but i think it would be costly and time consuming to ship to someone to have it done.
for now i will be satisfied with the Highway61 model and hopefully one day i would really like to get the banana/lemon twist MP promo with box made in 1970.i keep looking on ebay and i see many MP models in other colors i have a feeling my color will come up one day.
thanks for all your help FAL308 !

You can find one that matches your car minus exterior color and paint it. The body is not that hard to take off. Flip yours upside down and you will see the screws holding it on.
