 I hate to say this but those cars are nice man! All muscle cars are cool. I also hate to admit this but I am recieving a 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne, been in my family since new, 2-door Post, 235 Six,(last year of that engine for Chevrolet as it was used primarily in trucks),Stripper Car with 62,000 original miles and has never been driven in the rain or snow and has no rust, corrosion, original and complete except for plugs filters ect..sorry no pics yet maybe today! It would be perfect for Nostalgia SuperStocks with a period correct 409 plant.(No offense Danny but I'm pretty brand loyal and hope I didnt offend you, those cars are sweet).

BTW, I dont know much about that King Cobra, it looks pretty slick! Think it will have any competition from the new Challenger? Yours has a mind numbing 500H.P. correct? The new Challenger currently has a 6.1 but it "only' makes around 425. This is going to be interesting!

I hate to say this but, my 1968 F-100 Ranger can kick my Challenger's butt with no sweat. G.T. 390 power plant. Close to 400 Horse power. Can't make the corner's though.

Oh man, That Vette is nice! This Chevelle is an SS454 car and is parked about 100 feet from my front drive. Of course, when my Challenger drives by the engine 'mysteriously' revs? 8)

hey eddie-king of muscle cars for ever for 2007. sorry the z06 corvette does not count as a muscle car because it is a sports car. what ever comes out in the future, it does not really matter as my car was tops in 2007 for muscle cars. love that new challenger though but it better beat 12.4 seconds bone stock!!! my gt 500 is very quik and yes it does crank out 500 ponies with a wicked sounding super charger stock! all in fun man as they are all great to drive. my neighbour a few doors down ordered a 2008 challenger, cant wait to see her!!! also i like that ss 454 chevelle across the road from you nice colour!!

Tell you what Danny. I'm going to my parents home today and check on em, while I'm there I'll take some photos of the Biscayne. Somewhere there is a Bow Tie Lover that has a hot 409 daydreaming about an original rust free 2 door post car, it's that G.M. light blue gunmetal gray color? Everytime I see it, I imagine a set of Jenkins Competion Arrows on the flanks with Dave Strickler shoe, and a set of HilBorn Injector Stacks sticking out!

Wow, That Cobra is quick man! With a good driver any car is fair game! I dont think the Challenger is going to be able to muster that kind of power but you never know. It really doesnt matter, it's just great that they are makin em again and it's the 60's-70's all over again! Remember the 78-92 period? The 350 Corvette was king but no one could afford one.

hey eddie- you totally forgot about the buick grand national or the super rare gnx grand national. that was my top pick from that era and they had a V6 :s008:

If I had another Muscle Car this is the one that has captivated me entirely! It's super rare, Dave's friend knows about them they only built 4 it's a 1967 428 SCJ, 4 speed, convertible, Shelby Mustang GT 500KR. The man that owns this also owns another, he has 50% of production for that year. All 4 have been accounted for. BTW, Danny this car has been restored recently costing over 200k to accomplish and was in this condition prior to that decision. I would have left it alone, it looked like a great #2 car, but to each his own.

the cooler on the front is an oil cooler not a tranny cooler, this car has a 4-speed top loader gearbox.

Sneaky, I totally forgot about those cars, my friend had one once and they were fast! Of course the MoPar Turbo twinkies could surprise you as well, but the big inch V-8 was gone for a while. At least for us MoPar guys it was dismal, we lost a lot of dudes to other brands in my neck of the woods, lots of my buds drive Ford Mustangs and Camaro/Firebirds, but Pat, dude, a ranger pickup 1/2 ton with a GT-390? That must be some fun, bet the tire shop loves you man. :V8:

The car I drove in high school was a 4 door '62 Biscane. It was the light blue with the six cilinder engine. It was sound transportation but after learning to drive in 56 Desoto with the HEMI it wasn't much fun to drive. I also could never get used to it only having 2 gears. :disbelief:

I think that Chevelle looks great!
Sweet to hear that you guys have interest in other cars among the mopars! I wish to have a Chevy Bel Air 2dr HT -57 in the same garage as my Challenger some day! :D

Danny and Dale this is my Chevrolet. I never in my hole life thought I would ever say that. Dont tell anyone,(just kiddin Danny) 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne, 2 speed automatic, heater, manual steering and brakes,(single pot master of course), bought by my father in 1962 from Swingley Chevrolet here in Terre Haute,Ind. it has 26,898 original miles and has all it's original major components. The typical items like belts plugs battery ect are not it starts runs and drives fine. It has never been driven during the old Indiana winters when it would get very bad during the winter. I drove it last year during summer and it gets started every month and run for at least a half hour driven around the block ect.. small trips in town..Think it should remain the same or turn it into a fire breathing but stock look Nostalgia period correct Hot Rod?

hey eddie nice biscayne. if i had that car i would leave it the way it is but just add a 409/425 hp motor with a tranny to handle the extra power and a rear end as well. leave the rest of the car the way it is, why? ultimate sleeper!!! also add the biggest black wall tires you can fit on those dog dish rims. that shure would be a sweet sleeper set up as i can just picture it!! also if you keep the original drive train you can always restore the car back to original after using it as a hot rod but please do not abuse that beautifull original body you have on that biscayne  also guys, thanks for liking my other cars.

Thanks Danny, it's beauty! I think I'll probably keep it original but it's fun to think about that 409 H.P. Motor with a Turbo400 and 12 bolt and of course those dog dished original Chevrolet hubcaps and all with fat rubber. It would be fun until you needed to stop or turn! It's piece of history and I have seriously thought about selling it but I couldnt with my pop and aunt still alive. I really need the money for other projects like my 512 Stroker engine buildup and I want to install a different front axle in my Power Ram W-150 4x4.

Good to see you guys over in the States have taste for all muscle cars  Here in the UK , we love all types of muscle , We laugh and joke with each other about Frord's and Chubby's , but at the end of the day , muscle is cool , don't matter what badge is on the trunk :s003: This is my 64 Galaxie ragtop. Not really muscle , but they used to race em over here in the British Touring Car championship in 63 and 64. Rubbing shoulders with Mk2 Jags , Lotus Cortinas and suchlike. What a sight that must have been. Mine's more of a cruiser . Even though it's got a fairly serious built 390 in it , it's still gotta haul around an awful lot of weight . Once it's rolling though , it's quite quick for an aircraft carrier !!!!

Eddie, I am always impressed by a car that is all original. I would do some cleanup and paint work under the hood and enjoy the family memories as I would go on a sunday drive or to a cruise in. The Challenger would take care of the need for speed. I like the 62. It has brought back some good memories of those high school days. Thanks for the pictures. :D :D
