I know this guy who wants me to accompany him Sat. to look at this Challenger sold through autoexotica but I cant seem to find it on a google search. The car has the following 26EN2 N42 N85 R11 V9X Y05 C62 G31 G33 J45 M21 N41 VIX A34 A62 B51 C16 C55 FC7 N5X9 000 A22 074288 E86 D21 JS23UOB###### 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440-4 4-speed 18 spline box, non original motor has a H440 block stock 906 heads, Dana 60 Super Trak Pak cause it's described with 4.10 hence the STP not the TP. turn key cruiser/bruiser. 40k U.S. dollars. Sound kinda high priced? It does to me. Just wondering Wish I could find the auto exotica site and post some pics.

I found it. http://www.motoexotica.com/inventory/15 ... Purple.htm they want 40,000 U.S. they also have the car described with terms that only a Chevy person would use. Posi-trac,(What the hell is that :mrgreen: ), new front clip? 3 rd gear as 2.65 in the re-built gearbox?(Shouldn't that be first gear?), traction bars on a MoPar? Thats like putting gas in the oil and vice versa! MoPars dont need traction bars. Thats what the pinion snubber and assymetrical leaf springs do! Weird terminology used to decribe an original modified machine. The battery has been placed in the trunk,(improperly at that as it doesnt apper to be braced), the body looks great, there is "bubbling around the bottom of the door. What do you guys think? Worth 40k? My friend wants me to accompany him this Sat. to possibly buy it. I told him it's only worth 30-35k tops! :?:

Looks like it needs new rear springs as well.

BB E-bodies are going for ridiculus <sp> prices nowadays. I personally don't think it's worth that but more than likely they'll get it. Probably from a chebby or ferd collector who thinks that's how it's suypposed to be done instead of being engineered correctly in the first place.
I noticed in the ad about all the stuff done to the car. Remember, the newest mod is now four years old. So check accordingly.
Don't forget to take a magnet. Or a flashlight to check out the subframe rails-especially above the rear axle.

We've got a similar place locally. They seem to either really like their cars or else they like to leave themselves a lot of bargaining room.

It appears to me that the car was set up for drag racing by someone that previously owned a non-MoPar product. I'll report back after Sat. Thanks for the framerail tips. How did he put a flexplate on that 18 Spline Hemi box/Clutch pressure plate? :biggrin:

The dash VIN has been messed with, check the rivets. It also appears to be wearing a dash cap. Why swap a VIN to a "new" pad and then cover it with a dash cap? Something is fishy here.

Be sure to check the body numbers for signs of tampering when you go look at it.

My friend told them no. The place claimed no paperwork, none. I think it's fraudulent but have no proof. I told my friend about the nice Yellow 73 440 powered machine on here for sale.(C.M.B.) :mrgreen: Nice price too!
