Death Proof

What are we saying on Death Proof anyway?

On the one hand- Tarrentino.

On the other hand- Kurt Russel and a load of muscle cars.

Guilty pleasures.....

Tim,I heard the movie sucked bad. Yeah the cars are very cool but the plot or theme sucks. It isnt Resorvoir Dogs by any stretch of the imagination!. I am going to wait and rent it later when it's only 3 bucks. I wont pay 8 dollars for any movie.(lest they be specialty films from Sweden or Denmark, Swedish Erotica and such) :s009:

I absolutely loved Death Proof. I agree, it's not much of a plot, but the whole scenery, the dialogue, the cool chicks, the cars, it's very well made. I guess it's all just some kind of a cliché-ic flirt with these 'Grindhouse' movies which, as I understand, were made in abundance in the 70s. Thumbs up from me.

Did any of you guys ever go to these Grindhouse shows back in the days?

I kinda want to like Tarentino films. He seems like a nice bloke, very good actor too.

But it's like someone recording an album made up of all their favourite bits of music from the last 30 years. Technically it would be brilliant, but listening to it would be weird and disjointed. I find his films a bit like that.

Still, muscle cars and babes in hot pants....

His movie Reservoir Dogs is a classic! Nothing he has ever made since then is the same. Some of his stuff is just plain weird. The chicks scantily dressed always has me laughing! (and wishing) :s009:

I saw that Dusk till dawn and I didnt see any chargers. Was that in Pt.I? Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, George Clooney, were the 'stars' of the movie I saw,(Vampires in a biker bar in Mexico). Salma Hayek is naked in it. That was the best part of the whole movie!

" My dauchshund is somewhere underneath her!"

Do you mean that in the literal sense Eddie, or is it a euphanism for something else?

Dont worry Wayne, it'll be a 'shared agreement' after all, when I get to Santa Pod I dont want to be hogtied and shipped to Istanbul,(labeled an Uphill gardening fudge packer by Dave), :s024: as a Mongolian Gynocologist in need of medical attention for my Tourette Syndrom, only insulting Monks and Heads of State!
