Entries to the ballot have now closed. One million people applied for 20,000 tickets in the end.

Just got to see if my numbers come up now. I think it works out as a one in 50 chance? Or is it a one is 25 chance because my wife registered as well (two tickets per household)? I am not very good at working out odds.

I will know by 1st October.

Actually. I have not seen ANY evidence of ANYONE getting tickets yet. There are no actual tickets for sale on ebay so that is slightly hopeful.

Well. Better than no hope.

I was too young to travel large distances to see Led Zep. I was only 12 when I first got into them. That would be 1971. If they ever played Newcastle I wouldn't have been allowed to go then anyway.

Seen Robert Plant a couple of times though.
Once as "The Priory of Brion" in a very small venue so I was only a few feet from him.
The last time was in the new futuristic Sage music venue on the Tyne (fantastic acoustics) on his Mighty Rearranger tour with The Strange Sensation.
Bloody good gig that was. Member Tim came up to see it with me. The DVD does not do it justice.

Article in today's paper, (Chicago Sun-Times) says Jimmy Page broke a finger and the concert has been postponed to December 10th. Page says this will give his finger time to heal. No word on how or what finger he broke, pick or fret board hand. I saw Jimmy and the boys twice in the late 60's, its a concert you will never forget I promise you!

I must admit. When I heard on the news that he had broken his finger, but there was no explanation as to how that might have happened, my first suspicion was that rehearsals were maybe not going as planned.

It does not bode well for any future Led Zep tour.

Weird, but of all places, Wal-Mart is promoting a special Led-Zepplin album release, as well as AC/DC and Black Sabbath,(Tony Iommi, DIO ect), all the great metal bands of our misguided youth in special release format including some songs never released before or live editions. I was there yesterday but didnt see the Zep special. I think Nov.22 was the announced date for release. I wonder if this 'setback' will effect any of that? My crdit card is 'clean' but 440 source has their name on it :s009:
