I just purchased a 71 RT that is all original except the motor(originally 383 now 440 6pack, and it no longer has it's white vinyl top). It is Hemi Orange with white stripes.Orange is one of my least favorite colors, but after I restore it I will more than likely sell it as I have my other restorations. I don't want to drastically devalue the car with the wrong paint, but I really think it would look great in Ralley Red. The interior is black. What do YOU think? Thanks, TD
This is just my experience, but an original high impact color car should be left that color unless you are going to keep it. Changing it devalues the car and it is more difficult to sell.
If you are going to sell it then restore it as close as possible to the original spec. Including any vinyl top or stripes. You will get a lot more intrest in it as well as more money for it.
