The R/T, Road and Track was part of Dodge's ad campaign of the Scat Pac cars, they were R/T's the "program" ended in 1971. So for the years 1967-1971 you had various Dodge models under the R/T banner. These were "package" cars engineered with much more than just a big V-8 engine. Cooling, braking, suspension, and of course badging were different. When the muscle car market started to "tank" after the Insurance and feds got thru with detroit muscle cars, they changed their marketing programs and performance came secondary. They were nice cars 72-74 Challenger and Barracuda. I think I remember reading where more Americans were killed in one year,(1969 or 70), on our nations roads than the ENTIRE vietnam war. Basically, the beginning of "decal" models. Remember the Charlies Angels Mustang? Glad I aint a Ford guy!!
