Scored a primo barn find yesterday!

Friend drives a delivery truck and gets $100 for every old mopar her finds me. Found me a great one last week!

72 Challenger 340 Rallye, one owner, in decent condition with all original paint, interior, all numbers matching. The man cranked it every couple weeks to keep it lubbed and would drive around his farm. Otherwise it sat in his barn.

Here is the good part. I drove it home and it has a whopping 17,700 actual miles on it.

It's petty blue with white and light blue interior. Now if I can just hide it from the wife!

Same buddy found me a 70 GTX 440-6 4-speed the other day but lady won't sell because her deceased husband bought it new. Going back to see her this weekend with cash and try to buy!

I am sure the ladys husband wouldn't like that GTX to just rot away...

Good bit of luck finding that Challenger though. Might be worth just leaving it alone as a "survivor". 8)

Tell the lady with the GTX that you will give her a ride in the car when you restore it to new condition just like her dead husband used to do to her! Of course word it a little differently! But most gearheads wouldnt want their rides to dissolve back into the ground from whence they came!
