Will do Dave. Yeah lots of metal around the mains. More than the 440 Block. www.440source.com 4340 crank, 4340 I-beam rods, 2618 Forged Low silicone pistons,(most ductile), Ductile iron moly rings, race balanced, 1647.00 Total 1197.00 base price but I want the balancing and a few stronger upgrades. Then girdle, Line hone, Ductile Caps, Pro-grams would be better but I am doing this on a budget,(used Race parts that check out are an option), Then after the bottom end is done, I want to buy a used set of Eddies,Bulldogs or INDYS. I know where a set of used INDY 440-1's are for 800.00 complete kit. It's cast iron however and weighs probably 75 pounds more than 906's! Of course this will all be a pipe dream if the block doesnt pass the tests I want! We'll see next month when I drop it off at Best Machine in Michigan. 220.00 for the entire battery of block testing, not too bad. Here are the dimensions I wish to use Piston Height(from wrist pin centerline)=1.485.=.002 in the hole for 10.7 comp ratio with 88cc chambers. Crank stroke=3.915 Rods=6.535 Piston oil ring does not use spacers or buttons so street use is a viable option although the engine will be noisy,(loose pistons, solid cam, rollmaster chain) ect..470 Total C.I.D. should be able to handle 300H.P. shot of juice.
