Hey gang,
My webmaster has been diligently resizing, cropping, and uploading the engineering drawings, there are some that still need to be named, some of them are hard to read. You can view them at this link;

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/pho ... ings.shtml

There are 5 pages of images, just click on the thumbnails to enlarge them.

Enjoy!

Great work Barry!
Going through the pictures it's amazing that although there are a few 70 Plum Crazy R/T's on the site, no 2 are alike! (I found mine on page 3)

Nice job Barry! :D Are these the sheets used on the line to assemble the cars?

I like the last one that shows where to place the window stickers. I could handle that one maybe.

Wow, that's some neat stuff Barry! One thing that really intrigued me was the 'Aquarius' decal placement for the upcoming '71 models. I was guessing that it would have been axed in April, 1970 after the Apollo 13 incident, but the october date doesn't say the same. Do you know what that would have been?

"This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius"

A very popular song around that time if I remember? From the stage musical "HAIR". But I have a feeling Hair came out well before 1970 when they would be coming up with ideas for the new 1971 models.

Just a thought.

The musical Hair opened in New York 17 October 1967. :D

Yes it was hair today - gone tomorrow.

I was thinking maybe some bright young advertising exec could have come up with a promotion using the song. It was very popular long after it was a chart hit.

I have a vivid imagination. :D

Hi guys,
The drawings were meant to be used as guidelines as the cars were built, but they were not always followed exactly.

The Challeger Aquarius has always intriged me as well, I would LOVE to know more about it. :D

T/Ake care,
Barry
