Tig Napier

Postby Tim » 12 Sep 2005 18:34

Behold the power of Broadband........ :s004:

Quick clip of Tig Napier, taken from the recent Allstar Nationals in the UK. Tig's quickest run to date was preceded by a ferocious burnout.

I love this car. :s004:

yes, a mate of mine owned that back in the mid Eighties when it was a nice clean 318 small block, auto car, green, green vinyl and sunroof option. Tigs now owned the car for 16 or 17 years and it`s gone through several guises in that time. Still puts on the street sometimes as well.
Imagine that eh, a 10 sec street car

here`s a couple of pics from the American Super Stocks at York earlier in the year.

Thanks for the background on the car Neil. It’s interesting to see how some of these big hitters started life. 8)

“Imagine that eh, a 10 sec street car.”

I think Tig’s in an ongoing friendly tussle with Duncan Watts for ‘Quickest Street Legal UK Challenger’. Dunno who’s on top at the moment. Going on recent showings, he’s after Duncan’s Burnout from Hell crown too!

Tig used to come to the Nats years ago but I have not seen him there since the Nats moved from Shakey to SPR. He used to be (maybe still is) a member of my old car club the North East American Car Club. He is based in or near Doncaster I think. Easiest way to catch him is to go to York Raceway. He is always there running the car and his lass (Cath) operates the gear up in the control tower.
