) here is the article from that magazine that was written by our very own Barry Washington (AlaskanT/A). Well done Barry!

Wow thats one fine car, shame to build a house around it though, reckon she'd benefit from being fired up the strip.
ps First post for Major Kong so hi to everyone

This is just incredible.
A car like this should NEVER see the strip...not even on a trailer.
How many of you guys think about doing the same now

Hello Major Kong. Where is Burpleson anyway? My little brother in is the Air Force too. You know. The real one. The Royal Air Force.
I think it is great that some of these cars are kept as original as possible so that we have a reference as to what they were REALLY like.
I couldn't do it though. I would drive the backside off it.

Thanks for the compliments on the article guys. Patrik Werren has translated it to German, you can see that version of it here;

As far as the car goes, I personally would have a hard time not driving it too, but it really does belong in a museum somewhere. I believe that it will be for sale at one of the upcoming Barrett - Jackson auctions, but I have not had a chance to talk to the owners since Carlisle.
T/Ake care,
Barry

T/As are definatly born to be driven!
With that mileage though I gues it should be preserved indoors somewhere.
Say Kongsy, would like to know where Burpelson is aswell? I live right next to a US base. Seen a BUFF called Lepar Colony landing there the other day

Why son- thats the name of 'Ol Major Kongs airplane! You been spying on us? 'Ol General Ripper would'nt like that at all.
Son,... I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo and that's the stupidest thing I ever heard come over a forum, those T/A's can't be caged up son. Heck! you gotta get them out there & make the primary as the good lord Dodge intended.

Nice shooting soldier, yeah they should be drven up the strip, a whooping and a whipping the hide off every Mustang they come up against!
You havent even got to do anything to em, just keep em stock.

Two can play at that game soldier! Heres a picture taken at one of our old airbases.
Son, was that T/A driver asleep at the wheel? That Mach1 looks kinda slick don't you think?

Ah toe to toe with the Mustang! He was half asleep, but he woke about mid run to soundly trounce the 'stang by almost a second! A hollow victory though, given the gears that fastback was running.
Happy bank holidary Dave!

Hi Dave, great message board, I'd say that you're in line for a personal citation
Stumbling back onto topic just for a sec, your right in saying that the preserved T/A is an ideal example to all on how a factory fresh car would like, my concern would be that in a private collection no one would have the opportunity to see it anyway, I fully appreciate the fact that the owner has no obligation to publicly display the car its just a pity most of you Challyites will probably never have a chance to get to see it

You were very very close though Dave; well spotted. I'm only visiting here tonight 'cause Kong PM'd me to let me know he had registered here. I knew right then that something confusing was about to happen.
Anyhow, I should visit here more often, even though I have one of the "other" E-bodies.

Zogg confused me because he was using a photo of his old car in his avitar (since changed I see) and with him being a Space Commander too I got mixed up.

And its Herr Major to you two!!
Dave, even I got confused for a moment - cause of the Major/Commander thing! The green Chally avatar was the only one handy at the time!
By the way thanks for all your help on T/A so far Dave (and Steve come to that), Im sure its not going to be the only time you get to work on it though!
