Advice, opinions on this 70 Challenger

My friend purchased this car about a year ago. When I looked at that car closely, I kinda didn't understand why he would purchase such a project. I guess my friend underestimated how much work this thing would need. Plus, the guy he bought it from told him it was a 440 R/T SE car with original motor. Well, there's no fender tag or dashpad(VIN). Needless to say, my friend is pretty dissappointed. I say we pay a visit to that jerk in Tehachapi who sold him the car. We're not sure whether to part out the car or sell it outright. I know it's hard to tell anything from pics, but all and any opinions are welcome.
Photos can be seen at my photo album link below in the "franks_70Chal" album:

That cannot be it. That car pictured is a very rare 340 powered Western Sport Special car. One of only about 4 that we know of I think we decided? Plus I know that one had a fender tag or a build sheet (I forget).
What made this one even more rare was it was made at the Hamtramck plant. Again one of only 3 or 4 that we know of built at that plant.
A very rare car indeed and well worth restoring.
No he said he had an albumn on his photo site called "franks_70Chal" album and there is no such album on that link.

VIN was JH23H0B359719 and the owner was Velozo who started this thread. Hello Velozo! I forgot all about that car you found. How is it doing? Found a roof for it yet?

Hey Dave,
How's it going? Long time, no talk. I haven't started in on the Challenger, yet. I'm trying to get that headache of a Camaro off my back. It's one problem after another with that Z.
Copy/paste the link:

When you do that, you should see the album titled, "franks_70Challenger"
Thanks,
Dean
One more thing...

To me, the car in the album is just a plain ol' 70 Challenger SE. There's nothing to ID the car without a VIN or fender tag. Since, it's so gutted, I'm not sure if it's even worth putting on eBay.

I see the album now.
I have seen a lot worse than that successfully restored to a good standard and sold for big money.
If he does not want or cannot to do the work on it he should put it on ebay because I think it will sell.
Thanks, Dave!

You've seen a lot worse than this, and someone actually finished the project?! This one would take way too much time and money...IMO. I guess we'll put it on eBay when I get back from vacation.
Thanks,
Dean

Let me ask my friend, and I'll get back to you.
Gardena(south LA) is a quick 4 hour drive without traffic to Vegas.
Thanks,
Dean
