Soon to be fivehundred members

Postby Joakim » 08 Nov 2004 22:33

489 members and ticking. My guess is that in two weeks we all can celebrate our 500th member. Dave and JR, start to cool the champagne! Thanks for a great site!

495 members by this morning Barry so you had better roll your sleeves up!

Thanks for the kind comments Joakim.

What you guys should also consider is that the membership here gets reduced too. You might have noticed that it sometimes goes down as well as up?
495 is not just a total of people that have ever registered since the board started. It is the number of people using this board in the last 9 months. So in that respect I think this board is doing very well. :D

The 495 figure is everone that has logged on in the last (rolling) 9 months. Anyone not logging on in that time is deleted.
The number also includes people that have self registered but have NOT activated their account. However they get deleted after 15 days and there is only one such person at the moment.

Sadly a recent active member has updated his profile with false information. I assume it was not deliberate but he only has a few days to get in touch and he is getting deleted too. He can easily re-join if he wants though. So don't be suprised if the number goes over 500 and then back down again!

Lastly I think I should say again how lucky we all are (and me in particular) that JR took on the task of setting up and maintaining this version of the board. Without him I would have given up. It really is all down to him.

It's possible to see number of users including those who were deleted.

Click Memberlist from top of this page, then go to last page (#10 right now), click name of last user and URL on your browsers address-line will show something like "&u=583" in end. So 88 accounts have been deleted due various reasons.

Christer, she's been in the paint shop for three weeks now - I'm picking it up this weekend. I"M SO HAPPY NOT TO BE SANDING SPRAYING SANDING SPRAYING!

I now have the winter to essemble - interior, exterior, install vinyl top, build my engine. Should be much more fun.

see ya

One more left to 500 members!!!! Looks like one week is enough. How about celebrating our 500th member with a small present like a Hemi clone conv. :?: That would be a warm welcome, wouldn´t it? :D

I had hoped that I could match my 500th post with the 500th member but I didn´t have a chance. :x

Just thought I'd throw in my "two bobs" worth and thank all you regular posters, DR & JR of course. Says 502 when I posted this so well done guys.

I must say that without the assistance of all my fellow MB members, I would never have been able to compete some of the tasks I've had on my baby. Thanks for the orange box Dave - installed two days ago and works a treat. Thanks to 71 Deputy from Mississauga for the dash lights panel and anyone else I may have missed who has kindly sent me parts and/or given me advice.

This afternoon (god willing), I'll have the time to hook up the accelerator cable, Lokar kick-down cable, bleed the brakes then take my baby for it's first drive in almost 18 months. I can't begin to tell you how much I've been looking forward to this day. She still looks like a bit of a dog though, with her missing vinyl roof and shabby black paint work, but to me she's one of the most beautiful things I've ever had the priviledge of playing with (Ahem....).

Congrats to you all for making this a fantastic resource for all Challenger enthusiasts and providing the means for many of us to establish lasting friendships too.

Cheers from warm and sunny Australia (finally our cruising season has arrived  )

Christer,
See it from the bright side, you have plenty of time to match your 1000th post with the 1000th member.

I would also like to thank those that set up and keep this board going. The posts are always interesting and I have always gotten the best advice when I have been confused on how to fix my Challenger. :D

That would be me and JR then. :D

But it is the membership and regular posters that really MAKE this board what it is. Without YOU this place is NOTHING.
