hey Christer,
I was told that the full quarters and all other Chrysler and Dodge parts are now readily available ( for a large price) because Chrysler sold the rights so an outside source could reproduce.

Do you mean their resto program or is there something else going on?

I meant on the resto parts. It has started with the quarters as you can now buy the whole quarter from outside sources. All other parts are soon to come for A,B,E bodies.

It looks as if you are right (again...)! :)

I got this: In place of a crossmember, in the vicinity of the front universal joint, all cars in competition using open driveshafts, must have a retainer loop 360-degrees of enclosure, 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) minimum thickness and 2-inches (5.1 cm) wide, or 7/8-inch (22.2 mm) x .065-inch (1.65 mm) welded steel tubing, securely mounted and located within 6-inches (15.2 cm) of the front universal joint for support of the driveshaft in event of U-joint failure.

Complete front fenders (incl bracing) will be available from www.yearone.com in spring 2006. Price? $500 each sounds like a fair price to me. (That is if the quality is top class, of course). They will be available for both ´70-´71 and ´72-´74 Challengers.

Did you see those 4 horrible words on the home page?

"USA & Canada only"

Guess that leaves us out as usual.

Unless you find one of us in the usa that will buy it then ship to you.

I might be willing to do it if its not too much of a hassel to ship over the ocean to you guys.

I have quite often noticed that the same products are beeing sold at two different prices depending on if you live in US/Canada or in Europe for instance. I have asked myself why? :? I guess it is becuse the sellers think they take a greater risk when they ship overseas or maybe because of the fact that they can add one or two dollars due to that fewer sellers are selling worldwide (compared to the US market). In other words: The competition is not so stiff so they can sell even though the prices are not very low. It sometimes feels a bit unfair and depressing, but that´s the way it is and nothing much to do about, I guess.

Yeah, keep us posted, please.

$35 in shipping is not very much if you compare to the $395 a set costs. Just my opinion. ...or have I misunderstood your point?

To ship from Canada usually takes longer than from the US, right?

This is a reproduction part that will be popular:

I bought one as mine is badly warped through heat. Friendly seller who I have dealt with in the past. I'll give you an honest opinion when it arrives.

I hope you're right regarding it taking longer. Yes $35 is not very much.. I have a nagging feeling it's not enough!

When shipping takes longer time than expected, it usually means that the package is laying in a customs office or something. At least, that is my experiance. If that happens to us Swedes, then we are lucky enough to have to pay an additional tax of 25% :!: The tax is calculated on the total "price+shipping" cost. I like the taxes in my country NOT. :disbelief: :rage: I really hope there will be a change in the election this autumn but I doubt it.

After I had turned off my computer, I realized that you probably meant that $35 shipping and one month delivery time is not exactly what you can call value for the money.

No money under the table then? Promise? Just joking. We are looking forward to hear about your comments. I presume that the lid only is available in black and white or something, right? To have a red interior has its disadvantages....
