'73 Challenger bumper fillers

Postby uk73andy » 15 Jan 2014 22:43

Does anyone have, or know where to get, the two bumper fillers that go behind the bumpers at each end? I've now got the long filler panel that fits between them, but don't have the end bits to match! I actually need both front & rear, and left and right....

Pretty sure there are no reproductions available. :(

Ebay is going to be your best bet unless you find someone breaking one.

I think I've still got some late 72-74 front bumper soft liner but I'm not sure about the rear, I'll take a look tonight Andy.
In all honesty I think all E bodies look better devoid of any overiders, iinsulators etc, personally I'd leave them off the car, looks much cleaner and that flat dull silver they come in looks shit

I agree about the overriders, but I've never been keen on the gap between the bumper and the rear panel on the '73 cars... when I found there was supposed to be a filler and managed to buy the centre section off ebay, I found it looks a lot better. I just need the end bits to match!

I'm painting mine black, as I think it looks better than the stock 'argent' colour, and fits in better with my paint scheme

Ade, not sure what you mean by the liner - is that something that fits inside the bumper, or is it split into sections like the rear fillers? I have the same situation at the front, where I have a long centre section, but nothing to fill the gaps at each end of the bumper!

I managed to get the rear fillers thanks to the generosity of Matt Hollingsworth... they make the rear look much neater and fill the annoying gap!

Sorry Gary, I completely missed your reply, being extremely busy through the end of November and all of December! I managed to get hold of front bumper fillers from Sylvain in Canada in the end, and will be fitting them once I've done a couple of other jobs to the front end. Thanks for the offer anyway :s017:
