Yes, I fully agree.

Question: Did all of the T/A:s have #742 rear axles or just some of them? I noticed that this car has a #742 rear axle.

Another thing I came to think about when I looked at the pic´s: I doubt that the interior door panels are from 1970. Because all of the T/A:s were made late in the production year (feb 1971 - june 1971?), then all of them should have the wood grain inserts in the door panels. Am I right or am I wrong?

You're right Dave, all T/A AARs came with Sure Grip in a "489" case.

The 742 is easier to rebuild as it uses shims for pinion bearing preload rather than a crush sleve.

its also the preferred diff as it has clutch plates that can be set up thighter for racing rather than the 489 cone clutch style,
