your probably right dave but being a movie car & its a cult following movie over here so he cant really change its looks or itll loosesome of the value its attracted from being in running on empty i dont know if any of you guys outside of aus have seen it but its pretty cool for an old aussie car flick

They really know how to ruin the look of a Challenger hey! I can remember thinking when i first saw the movie "why would they do that to it?" The 57 chev and the falcon both looked ok but they did their best to distort the looks of the challenger. I guess it was all part of the bad guy persona.
All the same it wasn't a bad movie for 1980's aussie flick.

I would be surprised if it makes that kind of $$ as most aussies wouldn't recognise a Challenger if they saw one and I don't think this movie got much of a run internationally?
I guess it only takes one crazed fan with a fat retirement fund though.

yea i cant see anyone paying that much either apparently the repair they did on the rear 1/4 after they sideswiped the monaro with it is a dodgey job acording to a mate who checked it out a couple of years ago
