It must be nice being the boss.

It is a great feeling taking the car of your dreams to work in the mornings isn't it? The only trouble is you then spend the rest of your day looking at it parked outside and you can't wait to get back in it to go home again.

I used to do that a lot at one time but it has not been worth it for a few years now with the slow morning traffic. At least not when the schools are open. Different story when the schools are closed and traffic drops by 50%.

Glad you are getting to enjoy it. I know what you are feeling, I had mine 7 years befor I could drive it. Now it is 3 years later and I still have work that needs to be done to it. But it still gets put on the road almost every week during the summer months. Dodge, built to be driven.

I waited nearly 20 years to drive this when I want and I'm like you in that there is always summat waiting to be done, and if the sun stays put in the morning it'll smoke its tyres all over Milton Keynes once more :s003:

I love taking my Chally to cruise in's. It seems that someone will always give you the thumbs up. Coming home from a club event last November, I was gettin a the thumbs up a lot more than normal. It seems that there was a problem with the vinyl top coming loose. I had a parachute catching air on the top of my car. This spring I had the top replaced. It seems that the person that put the top on for me the first time had used the wrong type of glue and had cut the edges going under the window trim too short. I now have the top fixed and looking grreat. But I still worry just a little when I get those thumbs up. :s017: :s017:

Ok let me cypher this Ade........is that the sticker you had on your fender?

I take it the "wing" is a fender :?: and the repeater is the tyre? :?: :|
:?:

By "repeater" he means the marker light on the fender. Normally on UK cars this is hooked up to the turn signals and called a "repeater".

Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! would you believe it......... was tidying the garage this afternoon so I can buzz the Chally to work in the sun and one of the spare rear light clusters fell out of the loft and bounced off the drivers door.............another wound I've inflicted on my own car in the pursuit of trying to enjoy it!
What a cock

What a sickener. :(

There's nothing worse than biffing your own car. You can't even make yourself feel better by thumping someone.

I lost count of the scuffs I put in the paintwork on mine trying to squeeze it in and out of a garage that was designed for a Fiat Panda.

Ruined my day every time I did it.

Who?

I dropped MY bike onto MY Corvette Tim. Well not dropped. It fell over as I worked on it. Scuffs and scratches on the still soft paint just after I got it home from the spray shop. Most of it T-cut out after a little clear was brushed on first with a tiny brush. This was about 6 months ago?

Yea I too have bashed up my own ride,I remember when it was 2 days before paint ,and I had some minor stuff to do to the trunk ,and I was backing the car up in the garage and turned the wheel and caved in the front fender on the side of the garage :!: and this wave of pissedoffness was all over my body, I walked in side and the wife knew it ,she said what is wrong? ........I said I just bashed the car in to the side of the garage,

WE SPENT ALMOST A YEAR DOING THE BODY WORK...............it took me about an hour to cool down and then I began the job of pulling the dent out and fixing the fender just barely in time to get it to the paint booth...it was to big of a dent to put a sticker on that is for sure :s005:
