Snow on it's way mate. Get it back in the garage this afternoon and get your sledge out instead. :D

We have had a few gentle little flecks of snow falling since 12:30 up here. That is nothing to worry about but we are expecting more heavy stuff by 4pm-5pm. The forecast looks worse for the midlands and south than it does for up here.

It's forecast for sure, the gritters have been out all day, the council here never do that normally.
Herman can't wait for it, Ajax is worried about getting lost in it
Carol will need counselling if it drops and she thinks she may have to drive in it

Well up here it was more od an ice storm than snow. Had to go to the Co-Op for a couple of things at 7pm and the ice was a quarter inch thick on the side glass of the Giulietta. My ice scraper couldn't shift it it was that hard. Had to wait for the engine to heat up enough to heat the interior so it would melt. Being a diesel it took bloody ages.

It fell like very very small hail up here. Only about an inch of it. It had stopped by about 6pm.

It was very sharp stuff. It was stinging my face like needles or sharp insect bites when I was walking Billy about 5pm. It was ice to start with and it has all fused together into a rock hard solid coating over everything.

We get that all the time here ,falls like snow but hard pellets we call it "gropple"

Incredible as it sounds I took the Chally up the drag strip last Friday, the first time that cars ever seen strip action all the time it's been in England
It ran fairly hard and I don't think it disgraced itself, consistent 14.1 @ 103 mph, the complete lack of traction really hurt the 60' times, nearly 3 seconds no matter how carefully I tried to drive off the line it just smoked right thru 1st and most of 2nd
When it did hook up however it pulled really strong, I'm pretty certain that some slicks and dropping the exhaust will get me low 13's, not bad considering 3.23 gearing and an all iron motor I guess.
Despite me saying I wasn't interested in going that route I had so much fun I can't resist it

Once you run up the strip it is almost impossible to not suddenly want to make it go quicker.

I agree with that one mate, it's quite intoxicating stuff, much more so than dragging a bike, probably to do with consistency and a much lower speed but it' was huge fun :D
Reaction times were pretty good too, average of 0.424 to 0.485 every time

Yeah it was a blast :D
Enjoyed it so much a fellow member of the MMA suggested going up to the strip at Santa Pod tomorrow and I jumped at the chance :!:
Taking me snap on dial back gun and a box of jets and springs and do a bit of tuning, track is much better prepped there so fingers crossed for late 13's

Only git to do 4 runs before the heavens opened and ruined my day but got into mid 13's easy enough thanks to a pair of slicks :D
Wasn't quite as good as it could've been cos they were very tall and even with the 3.23 gears it was still spinning them up, 60' came down to 2.24 but trap speeds stayed at 103 ish, still enjoyed every minute of it tho
