72 Challenger

I just sent the deposit check out. I am buying a 1973 Dodge Challenger,,roller, no engine or tranny but the body is absolutely perfect from what I have seen in the video of it that Drew sent me. The owner has had this beauty for a while and was prepping the body for a 440/auto install,,until I came along. It's located in Denver, CO and I'll have to wait till the 'thaw' to drive out and get it. The best part is,,it's white :D I'll post some pics of it as soon as I get them.

Thanks Gents, I am really excited about this car!! With my 1970 being a N-96 car I was just to nervous and stressed to really unwind and enjoy myself. I dont want a show car, it's reportedly got a quickie paint job but super solid and clean,,perfect! I have to give a special thanks to Drew, he found it for me! I also feel sad for Dave, I'm gonna need your help Dave, I want you to set up my suspension with Drew's input as well and the rest of you guys too!! Wayne,,it's very clean isnt it,no. I think after getting it back here when the weather breaks,,I'll start with a good going over of the body,,I dont think it needs anything metal wise, the bumpers are new, it has a driveshaft loop bracing on the floorpans when it was a drag racer, Yes, Adrian my man, there will be plenty of bloo.. er pics yes pictures a plenty  Thanks Jimi I want to build this with good brakes cause Wayne&Dave are gonna drive this beast to Denver while I sit in the backseat eating my Mum's Kibby!!! Of course I'll document everything on here when I get it to Terre Haute which if the weather keeps up like it's been will be a month or 3  Oh and yes, it will remain white-- Kowalski style!

Wow! Thats far better then i expexted when you told us about it! Good job Drew! Nice project Ed! I hope you can take it down some levels so you dare to drive it like a Challenger are supposed to- Fast & Mean!!! :s003: I can take that Duster or the Dart outside the garage, they would make good sleepers :P
(Hop the body is good underneath the white paint also Ed! It seems to be a serious metal work when you see the inside anyhow...) :D

Do you know about any more Challys Drew?

Maybe Dave & i can take a trip over seas & get a trip in Ed´s beast & grab one Chally each to take with us back home... Raven has enough Challys already, so he is not allowed by the goverment at home... :s010:

Yes I know of 2 or 3 more some as clean as Eds, but some not so clean, It would take a ton o money to get one over there these days, but Jim has always offered to take anybodys car to the coast , all you have to do is get it on a boat, but there are cars here 8)

Thanks Jeff, I hope to have it as fast as your '73' and I know that Chally is one badass ride with a lowdeck roller stroker. As a matter of fact, after discussing your engine build with me,,I decided to use a hyd. roller valvetrain in my build. I'm already lusting for the 13" Viper AR Eng. brake kit for the front discs. I think I'll settle for the 95-00 Viper Calipers, AR caliper adaptor, 11.75 MoPar rotors and my 15" wheels. The 13" kit was over 2K when you factor in the 2001 Mustang GT "Bullitt' wheels which are way cool, but at 500-800 for a set plus all the other hardware......I want to get this car done in time for Spring/Summer 2012 (Hopefully), then drive it to Denver,(Drew's&Lisa's place), then on to Goldfield, then to Stevenson, Washington(Pat&Kims place), perhaps have Dave,Wayne and Pat with me too along with another Challenger. Maybe your's!!! (Definitely Drews&Pats)!!! :s002:

Yer just being modest Jeff! I know for a fact that 73 of your's is a one brutal ride! BTW, do they sell E-85 in your kneck of the woods? If so, you might consider switching. All you would need is a strong fuel pump that can deliver 30% more fuel than you can use now. And the Carb would need to be modified, I would just get a new one and keep the gas carb as a spare or when you want to switch back. Run a 190 degree thermostat. Thats it! You would never have to worry about detonation, overheating, oil stays cleaner, ectt and cost only 2.89 a gallon here, has 105 Octane, makes more power than gasoline too!!! I plan on using E-85 all the way to Utah, then switching over to a gas carb because Utah, Nevada, Washington doesnt have E-85. Colorado is the 'cutoff' point.

Ya know what man....I dont know...but a great idea.....you sure my 10.5 comp will not ping or denotate with that stuff?...that would be awsome..and it gotta be cheaper than puttin big buck al heads on ...thats my only fix up until you mentioned this.....Id probably have the quick fuel redone if the e85 available bro....if that would fix my prob, it would be awsome...thanks for the advice bro...
