Yeah those metric system junkies have me cornfused! I just got off the phone with Dick Ross,(Firm Feel). I will receive the rear end parts in a few weeks. H.D. shackles, "Hemi" Leaf springs, U-Bolt kit, rear sway bar kit, lower shock plates. I'll post pics when I get it all.

Yes, Adrian, all Firm Feel stuff, reinforced K-member, tubular upper control arms, reinforced lower control arms, Moog poly suspension rebuild, FF front sway bar,, Freaking huge torsion bars, Heavy Duty strut rods,, ectt  I'll be doing the welding on the K-member and lower control arms. I need to get a C02/Argon gas bottle, flowmeter, line and filled gas bottle. 415.00 bucks just for that stuff! But gas is MUCH better than flux cored wire. It allows deeper penetration and clean looking welds. Flux cored wire is for construction/farm junk!

I'd like to use some of their stuff, may still go with a power steering box from them and I'm about to order a fr sway bar kit and uca's and lca's stiffening plates. My mate has bought loads of brake pads from them and says that they are incredible, fit std size calipers and the custom compound gets good reports.
Easy to trust a company that specialises in our products and races themselves, never heard bad shit about them.
I normally give any welding to a fabricator mate of mine, he always uses a TIG and does bootiful work, don't know about his penetration tho, bit too personal for me

Yeah, Dick Ross and his brother are die hard MoPar Road Racers. I trust their stuff and it's track proven with a lot of their parts on the One Lap Green brick from MoPar Action magazine. I also have gobs of their stuff on my '70' R/T,, love it! I wish I had a nice TIG welder but the cost of that stuff is outrageous!

After checking the leaf spring part numbers I found these springs are actually 1967-79 B-Body springs! I called Dick Ross and they are gonna ship my E-Body springs and take care of the shipping. Great service eh! :D

Nice stuff mate, whole assembly looks really impressive
Spring rate sounds perfect, is the car sitting lower now or is it stock height still?

Thanks Dave and Adrian, I think it should sit as the stock ride height. I'll install the sway bar and E-Brake cables in a few days but the brackets for the sway bar are much wider than the frame rail. 1/2 inch! :|

I can't imagine those people will make a sloppy fitting piece for no reason, is it to allow for dimensional differences due to poor manufacturing, a feature Mopars seem to be good at :!: , or even custom axle housings, ride heights etc

AHA,, mystery solved. They sent me the wrong brackets, my frame rail measures 2 1/4 then tapers to 2 3/16 Dick is going to send me the correct E-Body brackets. I was going to fabricate some steel plate shims but....I decided to call em. These brackets are almost 2 1/2 inches in width to 2 5/8. They are paying for all shipping too. Thanks Dick!

I also need to get a pair of wheels fitted for some rubber. I have almost no knowledge on what type or compound rubber I should get? Any suggestions? I will outfit only two 17X8 Mustang GT SN-95 "Bullit" wheels. It's all I can afford right now. :)

Tyres..........I go with a good tire but not a name brand per say but something like a Falken, or Hankook, they have all the sizes ,and reasonable prices,I am not sure if you want to roll the 1/4s and front fender adjustments, but what is the off set of those muzzzie wheels?

you can start with a 255/40 17, but to get what I have 275/40 17 I have a 4 inch off set ,and I am close to getting the 71 cuda project on the ground and will be doing some wheel/tire fitment soon...........

BTW your rear looks awesome  with a lisp............

Drew, I gotta tell you,,,I laughed me arse off when I read that! Cool, I'll take the wheels into the tire shop June 1st when I get paid. I'll ask them for Hankook or Falken. The wheel offset on 94-2004 Mustang wheels is 5.720. Keep in mind I'll have custom hubs designed for the extra offset on the fronts,(.75) and the Dana was built with an extra .75 per side to center the wheel in the wheel tub. No Drew I really dont want to get into any more bodywork than I have to. I'll sacrifice a wee bit of tread for simplicity. Also the car will sit at a stock or near stock ride height. I will use a Milodon RoadRace Oil pan,,(Dougs or TTI headers with 2.5 or possibly 3" exhaust),,,. I live in an area that has very bad roads,, lots of railroad tracks,,potholes, roadkill,,, Fat women,,,Deer ectt

Nitto NT 555 245/45 ZR17 fitted 2 wheels for the rear. After placing the wheels on the car I read Right/Left on the tires so of course I had to switch em round.

They look great,, keep in mind the assend hasnt recieved the fuel cell yet so it's gonna sit up a tad high. Another pic, I got special lugnuts for the wheels,,from the advice of Andy Finkbeiner,, I used Ford truck 1/2-20 acorn or radiused ended lugnuts. Ford wanted 230.00 for a set of 20 GT Mustang lugnuts!! No way dude! These can be had at any Napa, AutoZone or tyre shop for 1.50 a piece,, they are also open ended and I counted 16 turns until seated. In other words for a 1/2-20 fastener you should have a minimum of 10 turns for thread engagement. Cool!

Thanks Drew&Ade,,yeah, that damned jackass will be removed soon, I have solid alloy wheel plugs coming. Drew, I thought about what you use, I think I'll go a bit conservative for now, then maybe later I can use a bigger tire.

Yea you will burn em off anyway, and yea if you can get a plain centercap that would work,

those tires will work, but you will find it will effect your final drive ratio a bit even with O/D

Have you measured the height of the tire to see how close it is to a 15" on your R/T?
I reckon it'll be ok at 245, Nittos are pretty grippy, I used em on some of Carols old M3's and they last too, way better than Yoko-onos

Ade, I havent measured or compared them, they look pretty darned close to the 15" cop car wheels and tires. The manual transmission I plan on using is the new LGT SS 700 from keisler it's rated at 700 Lb. Ft. has a .68 overdrive and is scheduled for release this Fall. I paid 300.00 for 3 tires,(2 new Nittos and 1 used Nitto spare plus 20 lugnuts), I thought that was pretty good deal, yes.? ( OK I just measured the height of the total wheel&tyre combo,, the Cop car 15" wheels with rubber measure 24" the Bullitts with the Nitto's are 25") so a difference of just 1 ")

Those 245 tyres will be about a half inch less diameter than a typical 235/60/15 muscle car tyre.

A 255/45/17 would have been the same size.
