Just got one of my dream cars, a 71 Challenger Convertible. Had it 24 hours, took it a nice local show, it was 1st in mopar class. Anyway the turn signals on fender dont work, how do I replace and is this a common option?

Thanks

Dennis

The fender mounted turn signals were part of the "light group." You couldn't get them separatly. The light group consisted of the fender lights, trunk lid light, map light, glovebox light and ignition key light.

Does your car have a flat hood or the R/T hood? Early on, the fender mounted turn signal lights were omitted if you got the R/T hood because you couldn't see the passengers side light over the hood bulge. At some point they started allowing the fender lights with the R/T(Rallye)hood because my 73 has both.

Some of the fender mounts were just for show and had no wires or lights going to them.

make sure they are plugged in the harness.

make sure that the underside nut has a toothed washer on it and the hole for it has no paint on it- for the ground.

bulbs may need to be replaced!
