and the XV frame connectors all smoothed in
cant wait to get to the part that counts

I really like the way you placed those contoured frame connectors in. It DOES look factory! Nice work!

I wish those connectors had been available when I did mine.

Btw; Did you spot-weld them to the floor, or?

they are welded solid to floor pans
front front to rear

yes those xv connectors are nice,they look factory,nice work im sure you are anxious but it looks like you are taking your time, my next purchase will be a rotissirie

spent more time on the bottom of this one then

I'm going to install frame connectors this winter too.
Did you measure the wall thickness on the XV Motorsports connectors?
Did you have to do some trim work to make them fit?

I'm still wondering whether to install stamped-style connectors like these, or straight tubing (which goes through the floor).

Did you pick any other of the chassis stiffening parts that XV offers?
If you did, what do you think of the parts?

I was wondering if or how the "emergancy brake" cable routes through the drivers side connector?

On my car I just had a couple of 2x2 bars welded in and there is a gap between them and the floor so the cable can run through.

yes dave there is a small cut out,or gap right where the edge meets the floor pan , and the cable runs in the same place along that recess in the floor,and there is a little slit in the crossmember for the cable to slide through

well after looking at these pix it looks like they welded the little slit for the cable to go through, oh well they can cut a little hole for it at a later date.

The xv connectors are 1/8 thick and did require
some fitting.
I replaced my floor pans so not sure how they fit stock floors.
There was not a slot cut for ebrakes I will have to do that
when i fit everything back together.

I think 200 bucks was spent well on these parts

You choose the "Quote" up to the right of the post you want to quote. Then start writing after the row of signs.

(If you by accident deletes one "]", then I suggest that you start all over. Just adding this "]" sign back again usually does not work, at leaast not for me. You will probably not get any white box due to some error in the programming.)

You can add brackets by hand if required which is exactly what I did now when replying to your post. If it's not working you probably have extra space between.

Well, I can only tell from my own experiance. Several times I have not got the white field in spite of the fact that I have done everything right...(at least I have thought so...)

My suggestion is to start all over again if you remove any signs by accident. It is the easiest way to do it, as I see it.
