I just can´t get enough of the red ´n black colour theme :s007: (Sorry for saying that over and over.... :s016: )

It looks like a top notch restauration to me.

I see that you have two ECU:s on the firewall. How come?

Take care of her.

PS. I wish the spark plugs were as accessible on my 383" as they are on your 340". :s022: DS.

I only see one too. The blue box is the voltage regulator, and the ECU (replaced with an Orange box) is on its bracket. Looks like OEM 73 stuff.

 Sorry, I guess I was wrong. I was convinced that you could replace the blue box with the orange box. I mean, they do look so similar, don´t they? :s005: Electrical issues have never been my favourite topic. It all became quite obvious right now, eh? :s008:

it is oem. those manifolds are cast iron from a 69 340 . the block was sleeved and the heads are the the original heads that have been worked. big valves and brass guides ported polished port matched you name it. it also has adjustable rockers from a formula s barracuda . yes, it has hyd lifters . but, you never know. tried the give the engine a hemi look . the valve covers are black wrinkle. and they turned out perfect. thats the original radiator in there as well. had a 1 1/2 front sway bar on it but had to remove it because it was too much bar. would have had to modify the k-member to keep it on there. the guy that helped me put the engine back together was the first to give a test drive after we got it back together. the first time out he wound it up over 7000 . he was confident . he said if it blows he would rebuild it at no charge. i was afraid to drive it after that.

Wow, that’s really a beautiful Challenger. Just love the red and black combo. How many miles have you put on her since the resto? It sure doesn’t look like many.
