If you have a VIN number someone might know the car before it had a UK registration plate or (if it is a Hamtramck built car) search Barry Washington's website to see if he has any paperwork for your car.

Hey Nana , good to see you finally on Dave's Chally site. You should post some more pics of your car up , and give our Chally loving cousins accross the water an insight into the build . Good on yer

This may help.
I promised your Dad a pic of the car when it was white with a vinyl roof. This was before I had the car. It was yellow when I got it from Duncan Watts.
Are you guys still thinking of putting it back to white?
If you enlarge the picture, you can see why I cut the outer lips on the back arches.

Unfortunately, I passed them on to my buyer. They were in a cardboard box along with a load of old receipts from Summit Racing. Hopefully that got passed along to Nana and his Dad? Worth checking, if they've got all the old documentation.

You have one of these French Challengers assembled in Holland or Switzerland.

I should have remembered this because I have been in the engine bay a couple of times but there is still a lot of memories lost from my brain since I was ill.
This is Tim's thread about your car when he had it.

Your next step is to check that the number on the dash pad matches the one on your inner fender plate. Your dash pad should read JH23008173291 and the "8" might look a little odd (more key hole shaped) so tell us if it is like that.
Then check the other numbers under the hood. Look at this photo to see where they are. Your plate is on the wrong side of the engine bay by the way.
