RedRavens 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 383 Magnum

Postby RedRaven » 18 Jul 2007 21:06

Hi Guys,
Im new here so take it easy.....Im love my car and really want to learn as much as I can from you guys as Im not too mechanically minded YET!!!

As you can imagine it aint easy trying to talk with regular mechanics because when you mention what your car is they automatically think £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
and thats something which is swiftly distributed to the household and 3 kids by the War office and the Revenue office(THE WIFE)

I dont know too many people here in Ireland with Mopars or a good knowledge of Mopars so your advice is most welcome!!!!:)

Thats me on the right in the pic!!

Thanks.

Welcome RedRaven. Its not often that I get to tell a newbie hello. Your car looks great. Doesn't look like you need too much mechanical ability, only the ability to drive..........Just wondering if the white hood treatment is factory or your choice.??

Factory...Ive done as little as possible to change the appearance of the car...the only changes I want to make are for the benifit of the car, I just bought a new pair of valve covers until I get the old ones reconditioned

So anyway. Does it have the white hood treatment and the black vinyl top codes on the fender tag or build sheet?

Of course I saw it.

I am not really very grumpy you know? It is just this Northern thing I have called a "dry wit".
Something that is not always recognised by people with no real sense of humour. :|

Yeah it get serious attention, sometimes not always good attention, between envious cops and down right jelous a-holes it can get a bit hairy some times.

Im told the colour was rare but the white striping and hood was even more so, I think most people went with black stripes and hood with this colour.

The chick dig it though...
