The white stripe and hood treatment was not common but what is much more strange is it does not have a white vinyl top to match.

Are those the original factory colours? Yep, Dave you are right, a white vinyl top would look great on it. Red, I am not suggesting you change it however, I think it's really cool being odd. You should see the size of my nose!

I agree that a white top would also be nice.
This white stripe/ hood and lime paint is really odd and cool!
Thumbs up Red Raven! :P

I'm the third owner of my Challenger. The first owner is deceased. Red do you know your cars "history"? If you dont mind? It's cool if you rather not say though. The second owner of my car was a typical MoPar "flipper". He had in his possession, a 1969 Daytona, which was coded on the fender tag and the buildsheet as R. This is a super Rare machine! He sold off the engine,(426 Hemi), transmission, rear end. Then he traded a man for a Dodge Viper that was only a few months old for the Winged Warrior, I couldn't believe it! He sold off my car's original carbs, and the Shaker Grills. I believe he would of fully parted it off, had I not come along one day! :hmmm: Ianandjess's Challenger is black vinyl, pretty cool we have so many, back in the day, vinyl tops were SuperCool Man, Dig it?

I worked at the Prison with him and he was kinda quite. He drove only Dodge trucks and was a construction representative at the Prison, I was a "guard" so I didnt see him that much. This place is huge like a small town actually, one day he invited me over to his house and I was seeking a project to keep me occupied. He showed me the R/T which had the entire front sheetmetal off. The 440SixPack was the original engine, as was the 18-spline box and Dana 60. I checked the numbers on the components to Galen Goviers little white books,(casting numbers), and the vin tag and buildsheet. They matched,(which at the time wasn't important to me) so I made him an offer. His wife is a raging alcoholic and is in pretty miserable shape, she threatened him with divorce which in my State, will cost the man 50% of his assets! He sold to me, then the very next day pleaded with me to buy it back! What's that saying about a cold dish of revenge or something to that effect
