My Photo Archieves

Here are a few pictures of my Challenger from around 1976-77. Sorry about the back drop it is the autoshop area at my high school.

The gal in the driver seat is my first real girl friend. I met her crusing State street in S.B. Ca. She was driving a really nice, but mellow 66 Mustang. Her car generally stay home except when the Challenger needed repairs. (Or I was out of gas money  )

Sweet ride.Very cool! Thanks Jon, that is a cool backdrop! I too had shop in "high" school. It's where all the gearheads and drop outs hung around. I was at home in that enviornment!! Nice looking chick! Way too skinny for the chicks in my high school. They usually drove old pick ups with heavy duty suspensions. :s002:

Yes Jimiboy, it is the same one I have today. Here it is a recent picture. Quite a change in colour. Once the 340 tires I plan to restore it back to the original metallic tan.

R/T-emblems on the fenders but not on the grille and trunk lid?

I think you are right the colour was metallic brown. I am 3rd owner as far as I know. The second owner was a kid that only had it a year or so. As for the badges Chris, that has puzzled me also. The black & white pictures are what the car looked like when I got it. Even the dent in the door. I added a few more later on. :x

Here is a couple color ones from around 1980.

Was your car a 340 package car? (sorry I keep forgetting who has what). They often got the R/T badges by mistake.

I went to Barry's site and found that the colour was FT6 - Dark Tan Metallic. My pictures are a little old and seem to have red hue to them.

My girl friends father was a hobbyist photographer. He took the better of the photos. He even developed the film and made prints of the black & white ones in his lab.

Thanks for your interest and here are a few more.

I made the shifter at the machine shop I worked. My Chevy friends used to make fun of the pistol grip. They called it "captian blast-off" or something like that. They were just not ready for the concept I guess.
