This is a picture of my 383 4bbl convertible. This picture was taken at the Dodge Racers on the Circle in Indianapolis. This was Dodges kickoff party for the Brickyard 400. This was a fun show. Lots of NASCAR fans, cars and drivers.

Thanks Jon, Indy is a nice place but oddly enough being a car guy. I have lived here for 46 years and have never been to the Indy 500, The Grand Prix, or the Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park. I have only been to the Brickyard 400 once.

Know what you mean. Laguna Seca is 90 miles from my place and have never watched an event. They have auto and motorcycle races. I think it might have even been part of the old trans-am series.

Me too Bob! I have only been to the GoodGuys and thats it! If I went to an auto race it would only be for the greatest racing in the world, The Grand Prix, sorry to offend anyone but those cars are really incredible and the men that drive them are truly gifted, drags and nascar to me are ok just not for me. I am going to the GP next year however, BTW Bob, your Challenger is beautiful! Is the engine stock? What is the tranny and rear? Our R/Ts would look good together sitting on Eldon Palmers Dodge Lot in INDY. My sister lives there and I visit there two or three times a year, I hate big cities I live in the boonies and feel crowded with twenty homes in my area!

Hello Eddie. and thanks for the compliment. The engine and transmission are matching numbers and are original. I did add an electronic ignition. The rear is the original 8 3/4 3.23 sure grip. This is the 330 hp motor in a base challenger. That is why the engine is turquoise. This car came with rallye dash and rallye suspension, factory dual exhaust with turn downs. It has all of the R/T goodies except the hood. The hood was offered on any 4 barrel car after mine was built. According to production numbers this car is 1 of 84 built. That is why I went back to stock form. I do not know why someone would not just order an R/T. It might have something to do with it being a Y 22 sales code. Corporate Executive Lease. Anyone with knowledge on that subject, I would love to know more. Eddie, I like the idea of getting them side by side. Our Mopar club puts on a show at Palmer Doge.

Bob, Thanks for the reply your car is Rare, gorgeous and exciting as it is. A true piece of MoPar History! Let me know when your club meets, I am serious as I would love to get a picture at Palmer with the other MoPars. My challenger may very well have been ordered thru Palmer. The original owner is deceased and was an older man when he ordered my car. I am the third owner.
