Your vehicle is absolutely outstanding!! Nicely done, I can only hope mine comes out half as nice when I decide to do a "nut and bolt"! Great story too! You are right about the 30 mile radius thing, I found my dream car 25 miles from my house! I also have an interesting story which I included with my Photo post. Semper Fi!! Rick

Thanks Rick, it's only money brother and you cant take it with you. My boss is getting locked up for stupidity and he's a millionaire a few times over! I dont have a nice home,(40,000), dress like a drunken bum but have all my teeth,(A definite rarity here), most of my mind, none of my hair but hey, I have a nice car and nice trucks. All a man ever needs,(my dogs too).

As long as your happy and healthy that's all that matters. I know we can't take it with us that's why I bought my car, It's my life insurance policy  Then my wife can sell it to some other fortunate mopar freak

man that car is so clean ed that it looks new , btw adjustable shoch wont hurt the value, as tube upper and lower control armes, and some light weight brakes also and you can keep all the stock stuff in a box for the purists and protect the value but i bet if you did all that , and the person drove it and wanted all the stock stuff put on you could why i dont know its 2007 why not modernize the car and make it alot safer car and , in my opinion it mifht add to the valu cause it WILL drive better than stock but opinions are like buttholes everyone has one lol and thats mine tally hoe

Dave and I see pretty close to eye to eye on that stuff Drew. The factory package is awful hard to beat. Tubular control arms are nice, very nice. The lite weight brakes as well. But how much better are they really? 2% 25 % ? It seems that if I did compete with it in some vintage type class it would be a benefit. Instead, I used the most H.D. parts I could get that didnt de-tract from both the "look" and the value. I think, Drew, that the best thing for my car at this point in time would be wheels tires connectors but I wont install the bolt on connectors they are useless, the weld on are permanent and I wont cut the car. So that leaves wheels and tires. Next year the steelies and dog dishes are going on. They are a few pounds lighter than the current Ralley package thats on it now, this has to help a little, also some sticky Pirelli's or Yoki's for rubber.

yea you will notice alot of differences just by changing shoes on that bad boy ya know tires i love changing wheels on a car and make it my own. my wife and i have a project 70 cuda with some 15 x8 1/2 inch 200 s wheels and some 50's series tires man it squats pretty cool ,have fun ! people would think im crazy and i am to change my car but i say why not !?

Your car is fantastic Eddie! Amazing work, i dig the work on all details, and jesus, under the car! I like that combo with white stripes and roof on that rallye(?)red colour. Looks sweet.
Are the T/A swaybar similar to the rallyepackage and R/T?

PostPosted: 30 Dec 2007 13:35
by Eddie
Jimi, I used the T/A style rear sway bar. I got it at www.firmfeel.com and it's the frame mounted style not the B-body style which is offered by other suspension companies.

What a Ride!!

Thanks John, the folks at MCR are really good people to work with. They really love those cars, as we do, the owner lives at the shop! It takes a serious financial comittment yes but the results are well worth it!

Yeah Pat the vinyl tops are really cool. I remember they would put Vinyl on everything in those days. Even clothes, those 'cheesy' white vinyl shoes, pants, jackets, hats, God I cant believe I still wear that stuff, err used to wear that stuff!

As you know, Mine has a Top Bananna finish, with a black vinyl top. Black Interrior. Original color is Dark Metalic Gold, with Gold or white top. I think gold Vinyl Top. Before, the original color's kind of turned me off, and I was glad of the Top Bananna paint. Now, I'm thinking ... 8) Maybe, original color's would be COOL! :s002: Might be a fight with the Wife though. She love's the big BANANNA!!!! Food for thought, Pat
