South African Challenger

Hi all!

I've been 'lurking' around this message board for a few years without having anything to add...I bought a Challenger about 5 years ago. Intially it was looking very sad, the previous owner had got hold of a paint brush and a tin of matt black - I'm surprised there wasn't a towbar to haul the caravan! Anyway it came with 318 and a spare 440 that probably came from a motorhome or something. Agonizingly, after 5 years, thanks to Vic & Janet at Lemuel Auto Services, it now sports a 440 from a '68 RT Charger; 727 Torqueflite auto box; Crager Centreline rims; limited slip diff; some new body work and a new interior. I've attached some before and current; pic's - quality's not so good, the car's is a dark blue (fliptone) and white stripes - obviously not a purist at heart.

The Challenger's been running for about 3 months now, but there's still a long way to go to get things really cooking. It's quite a head turner for now as there aren't many of these around here and I still get a girlish giggle when I start her up!

Regards

Alan
