N-Code in Germany with original paint

Hello,

I want to tell you some facts about my N-Code:

It's a matching-numbers 383 Magnum and a non-matching-numbers 4-speed-tranny. I bought it online (not Ebay) in 2003 in Georgia. It's still got 90-percent original FF4 paint. It was licensed until 1980, and then it survived in a barn. The original owner (Larry Touchstone) sold it 1995 to a friend and then it survived in another barn, until I heard of it. I replaced a couple of parts and has been driven it since April 2005 about 3.000 miles. It sounds unbelievable, but the Challenger is still running with the first factory mounted fan belt! The green tape stripe (V6F), which looks almost white by now, is the only rare extra on this car among several other common options: radio, rallye wheels, power-steering,... My Mopar passion started in the early '80s after watching "Vanishing Point" (in German is's called "Fluchtpunkt San Francisco") on TV.

The following pics show the Chally now and the last two pics were made in August 1970, when Larry just got the brand new car.

Greetings from good old Germany

Marcus

Your English is very good actually. :D

Your car is even better! 8)

It is great to have a full and detailed history on your car. I know nothing about my cars history. :(

That is a great colour combo too. Very very nice. Thanks for showing it to us.

Nice find, Marcus, congrats with the car. You're so lucky having those pictures of the car from day one. Better preserve the car as is, I think.

I agree. I am having some problems with the german accent though. (Sorry for my stupid jokes )

It would be intresting to see the codes on the fender tag. Can you also post them, please? A couple of interior pix would be nice. (I hope I am not asking too much.)

Does anyone know the percentage of cars that came without vinyl top? (It feels like I have asked that before!? I am not sure.)

Take car of your car. It is really nice.

@dave-r and JackT: Thanks, I am glad that you like the car.

@babyelephant: Thank you! I will never have the car painted, I am very happy that I came across one with its original paint on. I won't change anything unless it is absolutely necessary.

@Christer: Sorry but my camera is too bad to take a clear pic of the fender-tag. The following picture shows the interior. I only had to replace the front seat covers and the carpet, those things were too bad.
