Screen Saver suggestion.

Postby dcfox » 14 May 2006 17:32

In another thread...ianandjess suggested that a scree saver with pics of the cars of the members here would be cool.

I suggested using the features already included in Microsoft Windows.

All you have to do is save pics to the folder on your windows based computer called "My Pictures".(might be easier for me since all of my other pics are saved in a different location on the computer.)
Then right click on the desktop...choose properties...and go to the screen saver page. There is an option there to make your screensaver a "My Pictures Slideshow".
Simple...and works really nicely.

Now all we need is for everyone to post a good clear pic of their car for everyone to use.

Optimal size would be somewhere around 800 pixels wide.

If anyone is interested...post one good pic here.
That way we would have a central..single location to find pics to use.

You know...it's funny that you chose that pic.
I saw it for the first time just a few days ago...and I hope you don't mind...but it's been my desktop wallpaper pic since.lol.

It's an absolutely beautiful car and is an inspiration of something along the lines of what I want for my Challenger in the future(although I'll be going with a different color, wheels, and mine has a vinyl top...yours has the stance, and "attitude" that I'm looking for).

Hehe, cool. It does look awesome (if I do say so myself) the photo, snow, white car stance etc.....just a nice all round photo.

Doesn't bother me mate if you have it as your background.
Cool, hope to see some more info on your car (maybe in another thread) so you can keep this one for background photos only.

Cheers,

Thanks Carl.
I look forward to the day when I can post finished pictures of my Challenger.
At the rate it's going now...it might be a few years before I'm to that point.
I've only had the car for a couple months, but have been working so much that all I've had time to do to it is start gathering a few parts.

Thanks.

Mine is a 1970 S/E...with an auto trans.
It was originally a 383 car...but now has a 440 in it.
I'm planning on making it basically an R/T clone with a few T/A parts(hood and front/rear spoilers) thrown in for good measure.I'll also be going with aftermarket wheels(more than likely Weld Draglites...same size tires/wheels as you have on yours.)
It will remain red(probably Viper red) and I will be keeping the vinyl top and S/E glass.

Here's a pic...

Awesome!! It looks like one solid car....has a nice stance as-is too! Sounds like it could be a great candidate for a road racer, modern track looking car with the T/A add-ons and paint etc. Some modern big wheels would look cool.

You should look at building something like this....... (minus the rear wing) replace it with the T/A spoiler....would look hot.
