Hi guys.
Last friday I "finished" my 1970 plum.
Last week were a crazy days to finish it to go to a meeting 400km far from me.
Car was the espectation of the meeting and ran quarter mile but without times :cry:

, anyway 4 runs with 3 victories.
There were hard competitors, 454 upgraded 1971 corvette, 440 upgraded 1969 charger, and 406 500hp!! 1969 mustang (2 times, firts I lost, second one I won)

In a few days I will probably show you some videos. when the realisator will send me the copy.

The chevy type cowl induction is causing a bit of a stir in our club (as I knew it would) but overall i think it is a thumbs up.

Can we have some photos of the engine please?

We worked too hard on last month to finish it.
Wheels are compomotive ML 7x15 front and 8x15 rear 245/60 and 275/60

Dave, I also saw that the hood caused a stir on your clubs message board - they are so narrow minded with no imagination. I think cowl induction hoods work well on challengers, just imagine THIS ONE in orange!

Kinda looks like your car don't it?

I think the cowl induction suits the "Pony Car" type shape in particular no matter what the brand.

I am not so sure on other models though.

My chally ran four races with three victories.
Now the exhaust is upgraded and I feel the change a lot, before I had 2.5" lines with intermediate muffler and now i installed a 3" from headers to 3" x-pipe, no mufflers to cut out.
Car reeving is faster now I want to go to a dyno and see the numbers but I need some mods to race on the track, like tyres, rear end and pinion snubber.

Hi Dave.

Currently I'm using the stock ones. 8 3/4 with posi 3.23. It's good for the street but it's long for the track.
With this rear end I can get 142 miles @ 6000 rpm, probably I need a 3.73 to make better numbers on the track.

But in this moment I need to enjoy it as is, no more budget to make changes this year. I wish it does not break. :roll:

I do not measured yet but I installed an oil pan cover due this reason.
I will check it and I will post it.

This weekend (from yesterday) the car is in an indoor custom cars meeting but I will try to measure it.

The reason I asked Plum is over here they use "ramps" on the roadway sometimes to slow drivers down to slow speeds on some side roads and roads approaching school yards, shopping areas ect..and I actually measured my ground clearance from my low spot, and it was exactly 4 1/2". The car ramps are 3 1/2" tall this gave me 1" of clearance without passengers or driver. I have to slow down or I will scrape for sure my TTI's are the lowspot even with clocked collectors it still sits pretty low. Be very careful man. An ruptured oil pan will ruin your whole day!!
