a bit more progress all going well so far it took days to get the paint off this thing it had 5 different resprays done over the years & boy did they cake it on the paint was about 5mm thick but its coming together now ill keep slugging away

Wow, that is thick Ian. Most OEM jobs are less than 1mm with the modern urethane based paints. You are doing a great job. Keep it up! :lol:

another day closer its not as straight as would have liked on the drivers side but i got it better than the last guy before the i started bogging it

yee bloody ha its finally all in primer just a few little bits to do then rub it down & paint it im just about knackered ill have to go back to work next week for a rest

well guys i didnt quite get it painted before i had to go back to work but its been wet sanded & ive painted the back side of the panels & door openings & put them back on if the weather is good this weekend i should have no trouble getting it done so lets hope its fine warm & no wind ill post more pics as soon as ive got it all 1 colour again

gday this is where i got to last weekend ive done a bit during the week but mostly just fixing bits i wasnt happy with a couple of bits to fix then ill be happy enough to put the paint on i really hope its this weekend im getting really impatient to see it in paint after so long looking like crap

gday christer no the a/c doesnt work but will get replaced with a more modern compact unit so it fits when the six pack goes in

It is not more than 10 years ago that A/C became standard equipment on cars over here in my home country. A couple of guys I know have had quite a lot of problems with their A/C-systems (European brands). For some time I have wondered if the A/C-systems are more dependable in American cars compared to European cars. (I guess it is understandable that the A/C in your car does not work since it is an old car.)

finally got it painted it still needs buffing ill give it a week then rub it down & buff & polish it then the major task of putting it all back together

gday guys i had to put a clear coat over it coz the paint doesnt seem to cover very well & while i was cutting it back to buff it i kept rubbing it to thin so i gave it a recoat then cleared it today i think it will make a much better job of it
ill post pics after ive got it buffed up should be next weekend

thanks guys im not sure how much longer itll take ive still got to build the engine & redo all the suspension & ive got another truck cab to work on in a couple of weeks so thatll hold me up again
but its getting closer i cant wait to put it on the road

gday i was going to do the vinyl top last weekend but i found i have the wrong top so ill have to take it to a motor trimmer to have it altered & ill get him to fit it while hes got it but that wont be till the new year now hes booked out bummer hey
