I know the car well. What engine is in there now? It is not still the B1 monster that used to be in the car is it?

It's a 500ci keith black with B1BS .

I see it at the Nats at Santa Pod almost every year but I am always too shy to speak to you French guys because I cannot speak a word of your language. Something I will have to put right one day. :D

Sorry, i don't understand evrything ...
number ??? for engine ? :

Engine is 500 ci KB aluminium block. 4.15" stroke and 4.38" bore. Venolia pistons flat top, 11,3:1 CR, Crower rods. Camshaft is MP 590 with 1,6:1 rockers. Heads are B1 B/S ported by ICE in england (330 cfm intake, shaved to 59cc chambers), Team G intake manifold, 1250 annular dominator carb. 2 1/8" headers... This engine has now 15000 miles and something around 100 pass

Engine will see more radical improvements in 2006. Hoping to reach same perf without nitrous....
Car is something around 3000 lbs race ready.

Is this the car that drives over from France, changes the carb, fits slicks, runs 9.40's and then drives home again?

My eldest son always drags me across the pits to have a look at this car when it's in the UK. Even at the tender age of 8, he knows how cool it is.

Hard to believe Christer, but true. I've seen this car year in/ year out, running 9.90s through to 9.40's. :twisted:

In my humble view, it's the pinnacle of a truly streetable drag car. And it looks gorgeous too.... :s017:
